RIP to all those who died.

Unfortunately a vivid reminder of the reality of terrorism compared to the romanticism that is often associated with "freedom fighters"

Sadly I am not surprised about this, I was in Oslo about 3 years ago and must admit being a bit surprised at how many young Arab and Islamic people had taken over certain areas in the centre in a similar way that you see in cities like Leicester, Bradford etc, I did not feel comfortable walking around there in truth and felt eyes on me all the time, on the 4th day a Ukrainain girl who was in our hotel had her bag snatched in the same area, by all accounts it is a regular thing.

In truth I did not really expect this in Oslo, I was always lead to beleive it was a peaceful and calm city but my experiences did not really back this preconception up.

The fact that said people were Arabs was secondary, the main thing was that I did not feel that comfortable or safe there!

For the record the natives were terrific and open people and seemed just as concerned about what was going on in there own city as I did as a mere visitor!

Witnesses have said up to 20 victims at the youth camp but police aren't confirming casualty figures, hope to * they're wrong.

Attacking a camp full of kids is about as low as you can get

Supposedly police are saying 10 dead at the youth camp, the group Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami is supposedly claiming responsibility for the attack.

Yeah I saw an interview with a Norwegian minister who said the suspect in custody is Nordic looking but didn't provide any other information, it's the NY Times that are stating that Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami have claimed responsibility

I don't know your political leanings or views and I apologise if I misinterpreted your post but the amount of Arabs in an area really shouldn't worry you. People are too quick to judge a man in a turban because of the deceit of the media. Did you know Islamic extremism accounts for an extremely small amount of terrorist attacks around the world and Jewish extremism is actually slightly more prevelant in the US. The media feeds the hatred campaign against the Muslims like they did against the Irish all those years ago. Thats why I'll always stick up for them, yes they have extremists but I've met too many nice, decent, hard working and genuine Muslims to judge them.

Absolutely shocking and pointless my thoughts are with the families tonight :54:
It's going to be interesting to see who is responsible for this, it's weird why they would pick Norway seeing as it's one of the more liberal countries.

Thank you for being the moral compass in this discussion and I would like to say that your neutrality is a shining beacon to all of the uneducated who dare to post on this thread

I don't really have any political leaning to be honest, not that bothered about politics, merely pointing out a bad experience I had in the past, I would say the same if the people who were intimidating were Scottish, Jew, English, Spanish, Arab, Peruvian just happened to be they were Arab and not very welcoming.

Make of my post what you will but no desire or interest to discuss conspiracy theory pish and so on.
