I don't know what the club expect he's an international strikers with a good goal to game ratio. He came on trial as requested played a friendly and didn't put a foot wrong.

He had no service and still managed to nearly earn an assist and score.

Surely Lenny and his team have seen enough in five days to make a decision!

Anyone think he was played for only 45 min alongside Murphy with * service to make him look worse so we can negotiate the price down a bit? Just a thought...

Not a chance, his club don't want to sell him so they will set the price. The only reason he was allowed to come on trial was because he went Awol because he wants a move to Europe and they kept standing in his way.

Wasn't overly impressed with him tbh, would like to see him upfront with hooper/stokes and the likes of commons ki kayal in the side get the guy a bit of service :50:

Fair enough, just the cynical side of me talking.

My impression of the guy was that he looks like he's got the touch and physical attributes but looked a little lost positionally. I'd suggest it's probably easier to coach positioning and movement than skill and speed so I think he's worth a punt. I remember once, though, Matthews (I think) made a good run down the left and Murphy hauling * into the box and Mphella didn't even break a run to get in the box, just kinda hung around outside. Seemed odd to me for a guy on trial to not hustle or even try to get in a scoring position. Anyway, would still like to see more of him as he had a few decent moments of link-up play.

exactly, i thought he looked pretty good , and will only get better playing alongside a decent striker in Hooper or Stokes. he rolled a couple of defenders a few times only to be hauled back by the shirt , when it was clear he would have left them for dead , and been clean through on goal .

I think he was given a very difficult match to try and sell himself to us - playing alongside the very immobile Murphy and against a Wolves side who weren't the easiest to break down. If we pitch him against the Irish side or Swansea then he I suspect we'd see a much better side to him.

I'm pretty sure that I read that Lennon said he would decide over the trialists before going to Dublin. Also thought I read that Mphela was due to head back to South Africa to rejoin his team by the weekend unless otherwise told.

That would mean today is the day we finally hear about these guy's futures?

That would mean that he decides if he wants them today. We won't hear anything until they want us to.
