I know a couple of them. They sat at the back of my maths class in high school cutting triangles out paper as they couldn't be trusted to behave in a class of their fellow delinquents. I actually spoke to one of them not long ago and he was apparently '* the nut' after being barred from Parkhead for life for getting lifted outside after an away game.

Childish, cringeworthy pish. If you want to go and throw bottles and bricks at other human beings don't do it under the name 'Celtic' you have absolutely * all to do with our club and you never will.

Leeds and Celtic casuals united as one? :icon_confused: I thought the Leeds casuals created mayhem that time they were in Glasgow to play Celtic in a pre-season friendly?

I've just had a quick peek at this thread... as far as i'm concerned anyone who considers themself as a "casual" is an absolute fud, if people want to knock lumps out of each other don't bother tagging the Celtic name or that of any club to it.

    Morons.

Has anyone seen the episode of the real football factories with Danny Dyer :56: ? Its hilarious. He comes to Scotland and attends an old firm game at Ibrox (which we won, 1-0 ) the man who used to run with the csc said after an old firm game was cancelled, 60,000 people went to a reserve game and battered lumps out of one another :56: , I can see the funny side in that case, also pathetic.

Casuals? Lol you mean a bunch if tearaway teens in Burberry and stone island. They just attach themselves to a football club, they don't represent the club whatsoever.

I read on here that they will be here when we need them? Why would we need them, times have changed we don't need firms etc, any fans that are stupid enough to try something at Celtic park against 60,000 fans, by all means go ahead.

The green brigade have it spot on, 'casuals' but their common goal is singing and supporting their team and not mindless violence.

Yes, that will be the book where the 'writer' John O'Kane was bumped out of the majority of the proceeds by another football hooligan, Cas Pennant:56::56::56::56:

I just think people like wearing the casual clothing but don't actually take part in any violence.

    Why revive this old thread?

Casuals in general are an embarrassment to the human race.

Leave them to beat each other up? No, fighting in the streets 9 times out of 10 effects other people.

Fighting with each other under the banners of our club? I don't think so either, we want nothing to do with that childish pathetic bullshit. It has nothing to do with Football or Celtic.

I never really thought we had much of a "firm". Read about that John O'kane guy before who was part of the "Celtic Soccer Crew" but generally it's often the smaller clubs who are/were more into the scrapping. Mainly because their football team's are * so they would rather go and have a brawl than actually support their team like a real fan.

The casual scene is pretty much dead nowadays I think. It was at it's height in the 80's but not as big anymore.

Have no problem with them myself and know many who have been involved with them down throughout the years. These days there is very little actual fighting, just a group of like minded people who get together for the usual craic. The punishments are far too severe now so anyone who does get into it and does end up scrapping is taking a mental risk.
