Should've sat down with celtic with his family for a chat before making a big decision. Did we get a chance to offer him better terms?

In the scotzine article posted previously.

"Tommy Burns, the man dubbed Mr Celtic, would be turning in his grave over the abuse that his former protegé was receiving at the hands of those so-called Celtic fans, who he adored."

I agree completely. Except perhaps the so-called part.

As much as I'm disappointed at Chelsea tapping up our young talent, I'm a little glad they got Feruz. There's other players I'd have been much more worried about losing.

After all the crap he's said on the internet and such, I don't think he's the type of ego we need at Celtic.

Did I read he wasn't well liked within the Celtic Youth camp?

Think it's a bad move for him going to Chelsea. He'll end up playing for some lower division English team.

Pretty * off with the boy to be honest after all Celtic have done for him.

I've forgotten all about him already. We have quite a few talented youth players who want to stay at Celtic. The twins, Slane, Watt, Keatings and the lad we got back from Rankers.

Its hard to be liked when you show up for training when you want to and generally think you're the best thing thats happened to football since messi so i would assume that he was disliked by most of his teamates

mceachran has the potential to be a great talent but i wouldnt want him on loan because i dont think hes any better than any of our midfielders at the moment although he could go on to be better than all of them in the future. I just dont like the idea of developing other clubs talent when we should be developing our own.

Know nothing about the guy but agree that we shouldn't be developing other clubs' players, certainly not at the expense of our own players and even more so not for a team that has poached one of our own talents.

I was under the impression that you can't sign a professional contract in England until you're 17.

The kid has a huge attitude problem and he's going to find it a lot harder at Chelsea than he did at Celtic. There will be players just as good if not better than him at the club who train well and are professional in everything they do. He's going nowhere fast. I'll be very surprised if he ever plays in the first team.

I really don't think it's actually a big loss, you can't tell how a player is going to turn out at such a young age. How many times have you heard the phrase "he's going to be the next..." only for them to disappear off the radar before their career gets off the ground. Tomislav Pavlov is one who springs to mind.

Some of the comments given to Feruz have been absolutely disgusting. They should be ashamed to call themselves Celtic fans. Tbh I hope he does well at Chelsea. Would be good to see him breaking into the first team in a few years but it will be a struggle for him

    Really? You're really going to try and justify that? And in answer to your second question, yes it would be. Making a broad statement about a race of people is the very definition of racism;

"Racism is the belief that there are inherent differences in people's traits and capacities that are entirely due to their race, however defined, and that, as a consequence, racial discrimination (i.e. different treatment of those people, both socially and legally) is justified."

    Pretty well sums it up.

I've got no problem with that, just couldn't believe that previous statement. The kid's chasing the money which isn't that shocking in today's society but I think he's going to be in for a rude awakening when he checks his talent level with those around him now. The slack-* effort that it sounds like he put in at Celtic won't cut it down South. Can see him burning out myself, shame.
