Any of you confident of winning the league this season? With us looking good in preseason and rangers looking the opposite how do you expect things to pan out?

Don't read too much into pre-season, although I've enjoyed the goaless run of the manky mob. I feel with 2/3 additions in the right positions that we can definitely win the SPL and SC this season with a reasonable showing in Europe.

Very true I usually feel that the worse a team does in pre-season means the better they do in the actual season lol, which doesnt bode well for us but thats just me being supersticious.

I'm confident. We are now settled as a team, unlike the start of last season.

I also suspect that Rangers will suffer some form of hangover after losing old broon brogues!

To be honest at the moment no ,we have not strengthened the starting 11 infact we maybe weaker as we have lost Forster and considering we lost the league again last season if we where to bring in another 2 or 3 squad players like Mathews , Wilson and Wanyama I would be one unhappy fan , although there's still time to bring in some quality yet .

I don't reckon Wilson will be a squad player mate, and i certainly don't think Wanyama will be in the long run (although i can't really comment on Wanyama because i haven't seen him play)

Unsure a lot still depends on how the rest of the transfer window works out .

I'm quite confident,we came so close to getting the treble last year and that was with all the bullcrap that was thrown at us.A goalkeeper and targetman and we'll have a significantly better team.Getting fed up of people saying Mathews,Wilson and Wanyama are squad players at best^^^^Lenny would'nt have bought them if he thought that was all they were going to be,have some faith ffs.

    Very confident.

I am not reading anything into the pre-season results, just have to look to Mowbray's reign to show that pre-season means nothing.

Most of my confidence comes from what I saw from us last season, I can only see us getting stronger this season. Our rookie manager built a team and managed to amass a total of 92 points which was terrific for his first season.

There is also the stability factor where we are going into this season with largely the same people around the club, which is a good thing.

I can't see Rangers being any more efficient than they were under their messiah, I would imagine under Ally McCoist they would struggle to get the results they did under Smith, but that's only an opinion and we just have to wait and see how it goes with them.

Like I said though, my confidence about winning the title comes from what I seen from us last season.

Although I trust Neil Lennons judgement on most occasions a limited centre back from Nottingham Forrest who has only played a handful of games in the last 18 months does not fill me with confidence that we will wrestle the title back . In regards to wanyama I can't see him playing to many first team games soon , he will be on the bench on most occasions mainly due to the under 21 ruling another prospect but I'm not to sure he will have an impact on us trying to get the tile back .

    Broony!
    Quietly, yes.

The team has been together for a season and know each other well now. If all can stay fit, especially the Izzys, Kayals, Hoopers, etc, etc and we bring in the required GK and ST then we will be absolutely fine!

Still hoping for a marquee/quality signing, as promised - that should seal it!

Onwards & upwards to good things.

    In Lenny We Trust

    Hail Hail

Unlike the start of last season we have a team that knows each other which makes the difference. Plus if the players lenny has brought in can make an impact like kayal and izzy etc have where in for some good times :)

Yes, I think we'll win the league.

The huns are not to be under-estimated though and it could be another tight battle.

I'm confident that the players are good enough to get us close to a league title, but it'll be a close battle and the smallest mistakes will determine where the league ends up.
