No mate. It's only the 10th of July. I know season starts in 2 weeks, but to have our squad ready by now is quite early.

Yeah, Varga was a great player for us. But the exception no? This keeper clearly hasnt been identified or we wouldnt be taking him on trial. You cant get a feel for a keeper in a week. It seems that we are going from Forster who was excellent for us last season, to Shay Given, to Craig Gordon and now a keeper that hasnt played much in the last season. On trial.

Celtic have done this to us in the past. Went for quality players and gradually grind it down to players we havent heard of. I dont blame Neil on this one.Pretty sure he wanted Forster or Given and is now having to get someone quick.

And two weeks isnt long for a keeper to gel, does he speak English? How will he communicate? And if the trial doesnt work what then?

    Zaluska No 1? Sheesh.

very concerned at lack of activity, its clear we need a goalie asap and we havent yet signed these "2 or 3 quality" players which were promised. Not saying this Wanyama isnt good but I want to see us signing a goalie and a striker very soon.

am not too fused tbh, we have got a good settled team.

we are all flapping over our defense when we had the best defensive record in history, we are flapping over a keeper when we have zaluska and cervi.

i dont think we need to add alot but hope we get maybe 2 experienced players in.

we ahve got a settled team now and from 2 seasons ago when we had mowbray and the shower 0of * of a team.

much rarther be where we are now with our sqaud than any other team in the league over the past 2/3 seasons.

HOWEVER i would be disapointed we have been lied to about 2/3 quality players if we didnt sign!

Until a keeper is signed I'll be a bit anxious in all honesty.

I think that we're looking to offload the fringe players, before we sign any new ones.

We've guys like O'Dea, Rasmussen, Hooiveld & Thompson all back at the Club - seemingly without much hope of making an impact on the 1st team....that's quite a lot of wages for nothing.

We needed to offload quite a lot of * & we've only got rid of McGowan & McGinn (loan) who couldn't have been very big earners anyway.

Think we'll struggle to get any money for any of our fringe players, letting them out on loan is probably our best hope - as it was in January with Hooiveld/Rasmussen.

Can't really blame Lawell, cos the squad is massive!

I would like to see more urgency with regards to finding a keeper, however I have faith in Lennon. He has proved to be skillfull in the transfer market.

Its not a yawn. Its vital we not only get a keeper in, but a good one. We will have two european games that will determine if we get into the group stages and important SPL matches.

The window is open till the end of August so a outfield players can wait. But to start the season with important games and Zalusak in goal wont fill me with confidence.

Dont think it will please Lennon either.

We have till the end of August to sign players. I'm not worried at all.

Probably, but the fact that they are wanting to take a goalie on a trial is a little worrying, dont you think? This suggests that they arent sure he is the right person for the job. And having not played , hardly, in the last 2 seasons , a week isnt going to tell us much. Does he speak english? Not vital for outfield players, but for a keeper? In our league? I would say it is.

And Im not going to relax until we win that title back, if it means getting a wiggle on with players then so be it. To date, we have signed one player. Wanyama, who we know little about. Wilson and Matthews were signed already. The window shuts at the end of August but that time how many games will we have played.

We play Hibs two weeks today and they will know that the best time to get us will be now.

Given? Gone now, if we really wanted him we should have got him quick.

Forster, imo, the best option, but we baulked at paying an extra £500k or so.

Now we are talking about Gordon? Spare me that one. It wont happen.

Just because we are having a look a player on trail doesn't mean we aren't making inquiries about other keepers. Unless you are close too Lawell you will not know what is going on behind the scenes.

agree 100% with you there as you say we have hibs in 2 with no new goalie yet! but we do have a decent and able goalie in zaluska that can look after the stick up until the end of august also!

We need a keeper before the season kicks off, so I am concerned about that as I think Zaluska is a bombscare.

We also need at least one striker, but I am okay with starting the season with Hooper and Stokes and hopefully have a new striker in for the Europa League play-offs.

I think we are good enough to soak up whatever is thrown at us in the month of August but I would expect and hope for a better keeper than Zaluska before the window closes.

Does anyone really know if we are taking Pletikosa on trial? BBC gossip column isn't exactly a fantastic source.
