Had a search on the forums and there is nothing about Cervi to Aberdeen from what I have seen. I think it would be a good move for him, but we really need to get a keeper ourselves :56:

This article is from yesterday: http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_...ut-on-jones-leeds-wants-lichaj-back-more.html

and just had a quick search and it was mentioned in the Scottish media last month: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/scotland/13837864.stm

    Thoughts?

Not a good idea loaning him out to another club in our league. Never been a fan of that, as I think the player is more inclined to try that bit more against their parent club, especially if they want to impress their parent's club manager.

Loan him to some First Division or Championship club for all I care, but not another SPL club.

You serious? Players almost never play against their parent club when on loan.

When Langfield returns from injury, Cervi would be on the bench so it seems like a fairly pointless move

I would rather loan him out to a club where he would be first choice

Absolutely. There's no way they'll let him go, at least before we get someone in. (Imagine Zaluska not only being your no.1, but your ONLY keeper.....nightmare.)

It would only be beneficial to Celtic if he went to a club where he would be playing every week. Otherwise it would be a total waste of time.

Celtic can easily have it written into the loan deal that Cervi is not allowed to play in matches against Celtic.

If Aberdeen are interested then I would be in favour of sending Cervi on loan to them. It would give us a chance to see if he's able to cut it at SPL level.

i think it's an SPL regulation that a player on loan isn't allowed to play against his parent club anyway. either way, we aren't dim. they'd be clause in the deal that he won't be able to feature against us.

as for this deal, i doubt it as they have brought in a keeper and we won't let any of keepers leave until we bring in another one.

Have never really seen Cervi play so cannot fairly comment on his ability. However surely getting a decent goalkeeper is the top priority for Celtic. 2 weeks till season starts, pull the finger out Celtic.
