I would take him if we got him on the cheap maybe a deal that he would go onto reduced wage if he got injured, given his past this is highly likely. We don't really need him but I do think he would play out his skin against the Huns.

If Birmingham can't offer him the wages I don't think we have much chance of improving on their offer

He is no better than we have already. I thought that we were looking for a tall target man type striker anyway?

beautifully put. think Lennon has done a great job picking up the pieces of Mogga's disaster. he has definitely brought the thunder back.

i'm of the opinion that McFadden does have something to offer the club. has experience and is versatile. i think he would come here for £20k a week easily. ideally i'd want two strikers in during this window. i'd love Faddy to be one of them.

    McFadden on a free?

Sounds good to me. He could fill the position Lenny was playing Stokes in - 2nd striker coming in from a wide position. And he still has 4 or 5 years left of his career.

Bargain, I'd be in there right away...

faddy will never sign for the huns in a million years and if he signs for the almighty tic he will be even better than whats hes like in a scotland top. he is a die hard tim and would give his heart and soul in the hoops. faddy and commons suporting hooper would be awesome esp away in europr and at castle grey-no-skill

McFadden is a total scottish enigma. Has had a couple of inconsistent seasons in England, but would shine in our side. Also a player we know can play the lone striker role, but would be sensational in a 442 line up, with Commons one side and Faddy the other?? Mouthwatering.

Wages are too high and Faddy is very injury prone. We wouldn't get a full season out of him. Don't think he will go to the Huns though he's a big hoops fan

Obviously I'm just biased against McFadden, but why do people now think playing 433 would be great? Played it once and everyone was saying how glad they were that Lennon had learned his lesson.

He learned his lesson after we stopped playing 442.

    Forster
    Wilson Majstorovic Mulgrew Izaguirre
    Brown Kayal Ledley
    Stokes Hooper Commons

That was our formation in the second half of last season. It was pretty fluid though, obviously.

Spot on..and especially when Samaras was paired with Hooper..we know how much he drifts. I love the 4-3-3 formation though, the one used by the likes of Barca, Napoli and Lille, where the 3 attacking players are basically given the freedom to roam wherever they want.

would love to have McFadden take over Stokes in that formation.

i've always said i want two strikers in during this window due to Samaras' lack of goals. i cannot wait to see the back of him. i would love one of these strikers to be McFadden. he'd easily accept £20k a week i think. yes, he has had injury problems but i think he still has something to offer us.

I think people are underestating McFadden.

He would run through brick walls at Celtic and be absolutley desperate to pump the huns and win trophies. He'd be captain material for us and a similar 'hero' as guys like Johnny Doyle and Frank McAvennie. His dad and family are massive tims and go to about 80% atleast of our games everysingle season.

Another transfer window and another long term transfer saga.

Would certainly take him on a Bosman. Always good to have some Scots in the team and McFad would be a handy addition.
