Must say, I'm with Butch on this one. We can't expect to go to these parts of the world where football isn't the number one sport, and expect to gain extra fans through dire performances like that last one. A pathetic result against that mob, shocking. Overall very unconvincing performance.

i will repeat this again, this next game to some might still not sink in, ill try my best and make it a bit clearer, this next game against Perth Glory, has got to show a result in Celtics favor, but to me that is not important, there are loads on here not bothered, thats the chin up mob, fair play they cant see the wood for the trees. and never will, this game to me has to show me shots on target, that is my no 1 concern, nothing more, not even if we are getting humped To me getting humped is bad enough, but if you and yer team are not even penetrating there goal, you can kiss yer season good by, that also applies in European ties. Yes Good teams can get beat but they must hit the wood work often to say they are unlucky. If we do not have loads of strikes on goal, we will be yesterdays news. you heard it here first.

Friendlies aren't worth watching or judging players, coaches etc.

Didnt expect us to play well against costal mariners because the players hasnt kicked a ball for over a month yet they said mariners has played a few friendlies already.

The Mariners are no push overs. They made the grand final of the A-League last season, and but for losing a late goal & missing out on penalties, would've been the A-League Champios, as well as being in the Asian Champions League. Not saying they are ever gonna rival Barca (lol), but they are no pushovers either. The Mariners game on paper was always going to be the toughest of the 3 on this Australian tour.

good stuff taz, nailed your colors to the mast, these next 2 easy games we are about to play in, and the Dublin Cup, will tell you and all .as For me its shots on goal, thats all i am looking for nothing more. If i don't see that
alarm bells ring out for me. players brought in should be busting a gut to impress, in my book .

By your post you say if we lose 6-0 but have twice the shots on target as the opponent you'll be happy? ffs :56:

Pre-season is not ablout results, right enough. It's about getting the rust out, and trips like the current one are as much about being a PR exercise for fans & commercial opportunities as they are about being a bonding exercise for the team. We had a great pre-season under Mowbray - certainly the best I can recall in recent memory - but it counts for hee-haw once the season proper gets underway.

yes can"t you see that, to me that is getting beat by (yes) or hum-pt by the better team, but you then have a team trying, and being able to get into there box, which is by far, better that than getting hum-pt and never crossing the half way line. Your the type of bloke that likes your football, but still believe in the old *, when your team get beat with any team in Europe, and the managers says we got beat but it will be good experience for the players every year you will here this *, but you have forgot what the managers do, the following year the manager gets rid of the players that failed in Europe. he gets new guys why is that do you think, simple if your team don't try a leg you will win * all no matter who your playing.
