However, Strachan said: "I don't think that will happen. I don't think a player like that would be allowed out on loan."

IMO thats his way of engineering a possible move or an "untapped connection"....

thought the exact same thing mate.

maybe just maybe it's true. WGS is maybe worried the story has got out and now he's worried that someone else will come in for him so he's came out and said that to put others off.

    * imagine big jan and the other keano - just came in my pants :52:

Would be good, but it would be no more than a loan deal. We cannot afford the wages he is on. If he wants to play for us at some point in his career he'd better come now than when he's 35 and past it.

He's on at least 55k i think. Dont know what it is with Gravesen. I'd stick by him cos he's shown at times he can be quality. He just doesnt fit in. He should be a younger, fitter, tougher Lennon. But he couldnt lace Lennon's boots just now. Give him more time.

If we had got shot of Balde then maybe we could afford Keane, but i dont think its to be.

lets see... not everyone comes to CP just for the ££, and they are the ones we want, some want to win things, he aint gonna win much with Spurs.........I realise that money talks , but we have attracted the likes of Naka , Graveson etc , remember Nakas income from us is only about 25% of his total income due to us giving players control over their image rights....

FFS didnt think he was on that much. then again Spurs just throw money about. WGS should talk to him he knows him, just ask him what would you like to do with your career? continue playing for mediocre clubs in england winning * all OR come play in front of 60,000 people, who will adhore you, win trophies reguarly, play in champions league and play for the club you have already said you have supported.

i honestly feel if he came here on long term deal he could come very close to matching Henrik

Most club dont get a penny from player's image rights anyways. Its only the likes of Real Madrid that can get away with the images rights stunt

I'd love to see him at Celtic, he's a player I hold very high in regard. Such a talent - but I think a fair few fans will probably disagree with me. I think Strachan has something up his sleeve. Wouldn't you just out and out dismiss pure speculation if it was not true?

Hope wgs has big pockets as well as sleeves 'coz if Ashley Young is fetching £9.65m there's not a hope in * Robbie Keane will go for a penny under £12m on a permanent deal.

That and another smashing of the wage structure.

Spurs are in the semis of the Carling cup, qualified in the UEFA, still in the FA cup and will be looking to qualify for Champions League or UEFA cup again this season. Why would they even think about letting him go?

Don't get me wrong. it would be awesome to get him, I just think it's highly unlikely.

    Hail, Hail :celt_2:

yeah seems unlikely to me too but i he would certainly be a worthwhile addition up front and hed be the proven goal scorer we need to make an impact in europe.

They would let him go cos Jol and Keane dont see eye to eye, plus he is like 4th choice striker.

Difference is that Young was in demand, plus the club didnt want to sell. Plus his wages wont be to high.

If Jol is to sell or loan out Keane he would rather it wasnt to another English club.

He's been linked with a move to Sunderland but the general consensus is the club won't want him as his wages are too high and the fact that he can't get in the starting line up, and the only other club he is being linked with is Celtic.
