Stan Wants Back To Celtic !!

I read the most up to date posts on this site and i'm beginning to wonder why?

Stan's just left, we got a pretty big chunk of cash for him so let's move on. I can't believe how quickly CELTIC FANS turn on players like Zurawski, Miller and especially Maloney. As far as i'm concerned we need to strengthen our defence and that's it. We have enough quality to mix and match our midfield and our strike force so why bring in more players?

Maloney's always been faithful to the club and as far as i'm concerned he has a right to ask for more, balde and thompson got 28K a week ffs!

Maybe i'm talking pish, but have think to yourself before you post absolute nonsense!

What you've got to remember about Stan was he signed a new contract with us meaning that we got the 6-8m that allowed us to sign Graveson and JVoH. He could have left for nowt in the summer.

He also gave us 7 good years of solid graft, as long as Henke and Lennon have given us.

He complained about the standard of the SPL: fair dos, compared to the EPL Spanish Premira and Serie A it's total pish. I'll quite happily agree with him saying it's pish.

IMO People on this forum should thank Stan for seven cracking years and then selling him on for a profit of around 4m! As opposed to Sutton 5 years and -6m and John Hartson, 4 years and -6m.

 

Do you know him? or any of the other players you mentioned???

 

Don't take anyone back that has left, they never return as the player they once were (Nicolas etc.) we've moved on.

Why should Celtic fans hate Stan after he gave his all for 7 years and then we got our biggest ever transfer fee for him. What he said was true - the SPL is a pretty low standard.

Balde's nothing, but JJ and 3million? Thats a little steep.

 

Opinions on Petrov's charchter aside, that would be good buisiness. Get rid of one bit of dead wood, one guy who I dont think will make it (but prepared to give him a few more runs out in the middle just to check) and only 3 million hard cash for a high scoring midfielder who is a few years younger than JJ and Grav. I thought the money we got for Stan could add up to 8 million (not sure exactly) so that would be good buisiness. Cant disagree with the questionmarks over his charchter but I just think he is flaky.

 

I don't think he even wants to come back to be honest. If he will change his mind, I would take him - but only on minimum wages!
The * has earned enough here and behaved like a *, before he gets more money we want to see first class petrov football (again).


Edit: Wouldn't pay again for him, just trade a few players to villa like balde and miller.

 

May be the reason petrov has been dropped is he part of an aston vila team who have not WON a match in their last 11 ,last 11 games no wins ye that right aston villa are crap

How many of those players can play left and right back???

We need some cover for naylor and wilson. With Telfer leaving if one of them picks up and injury we'll need to do another Ross Wallace!

Hmm...you've got a fair point about COVER for naylor and wilson, but its not worth going out and blowing millions of full backs when you're only going to use them as cover. To be honest, WGS only needs another centre midfield. Well maybe a winger. And a striker. Three players.

i think petrov is woeful, he palyed well hes 1st 3 games but since then hes done FA i too would rather see hendrie ahead of him, infact id rather see djemba djemba ahed of him



I think to many people expected him to come along and bang in 20 goals,remember he was playing in Scotland before which is like playing in league 2

Petrovs a good player mate, he's just unfit at the moment he'll be back to his best soon. He's had one or two bad games since he's been injured but he isn't *.
