Why is every1 slating JJ he has scored crucial goals for us and fair enough isn't perfomring at the best of his abilitys he will come good, I am certain of it he was a top player at birmingham there top scorer fair enough they got relegated but he was signed in the abramovic era by chelsea

i never meant this thread as a direct comparsion between jj and o'connor..

that would be unfair they are different styles completely

i am of the opinion that a back up target man(o' connor) right now is of more benefit 2 the side than..

JJ 'jack of all spades master of mediocrity':84:

Well the point was about GOC, and the twins(fkn hate that expression) if these are so good and have so much potential why does Mowbray think that price is ridiculous that is the 800k for GOC and obviously the 5ml for Crockett and Tubbs. And they have plenty to burn. Thomson is not the most mobile of players either to be fair and is no better than Sno and i've already said for mths that Maloney is better than Broonaldo. All only my opinion tho

Got absolutely no work done this afternoon btw

Don't really think it's possible with the calibre of Thomson and Brown.. Other teams got 19-20 years old lads leading and carrying the team in europe, the other 2 can't even carry hibs in the spl.

£5 mio is a joke, if you check out the transfermarket you'll get 1-2 proven european class players like VoH. I don't think the hibs pair are any better than what we already have.

    true mate..

although with foreign players u always run the risk of whether they can settle and adapt quickly 2 living and playing in scotland.

i honestly didnt know much about the twins until hibs played us at CP this season and i must admit i have been very impressed by them since

they strike me as more european in there style i.e passing and movement and despite the price tag being crazy as u rightly say..

i would still invest in these 2 immediately given they have plenty of ex teammates etc. 2 help them settle pronto:50:

We should move for Lee Wilkie and James Grady.

Don't forget most european players are able to adapt quickly to scotland, except latinos like spanish and may be italian players.

especially the dutch and scandinavian lads feel home after only 1 hour in a foreign country :84:

Agree wholeheartedly with u here, I want more SPL clubs to be stronger. The stronger our weekly opposition is, the better we will become for Champions League.:50:

I meant that we dont need new players until the summer. They'll be cheaper then because its always easier and cheaper to sign players in the summer.

Yes we should be always looking to improve the squad but trying to do it now is much harder. We can wait

People are panicking over Milan, these players may not settle in by then. Celtic is a step up and what will been the point in paying millions more for something thats unnecessary at this point in time

I'd rather we concentrate on giving our young players first team experience. Different story if we were taking about signing Lampard and Gerrard but we're not.
I like the look of Sno very much and can see what the scouts seen in him when he was recommended. Given a run in the team and the confidence from the management i'd bet he would be a huge player for us.
The differnece he makes when he comes on is huge i.e. against st.mirren last week.
Some may say yeah ok but that was against st.mirren but i didnt see anyone else make such an impact.
Forget singings now lets give our existing play a boost by playing them.

IM angry at Hibs, we offered them good cash for Thomson and were even willing to let him stay 'till end of the season. Why go to a * team like Rangers? Brown will probably end up at Huns anol. Same old Celtic-gettin' caught out by the scummy huns yet again. Hw often are we going 2 get into last 16 of CL? Not very is the answer, so y aren't we tying 2 splash out on quality to give us a good chance bcos for 1 thing, our defence and midfield are rank rotten!
*' burst the bank and get Robbie Keane and Paul Heartley in!!!
