Rex Ryan didn't inherit a defensive juggernaut when he came to the Jets, but he turned us into the best D in the league. You know you love him Big *!

There are many foreign players in the SPL, but the winners are not the world champions.

Not an American, but I've heard this legend.
A "yankee" usually is someone who lives north of the Mason-Dixon line. But, if you go
to the northern states, they might tell you that a "yankee" is a New Englander. If you
go to New England, they'll tell it's someone from Vermont. If you go to Vermont, they'll tell you it's somebody who doesn't like cheddar cheese on their apple pie.

To be honest Ive never identified with anything that one associates with Americans... NFL, baseball, sport utility vehicles, budweiser beer, levis, country music, apple pie, shopping at walmart and costco, the whole frontier/rugged/outdoorsy thing, pancakes, corndogs, american idol, * whatever. I almost hate going to Ireland and Scotland sometimes because people expect me to fit into some kind of stereotype of this. And I seem to encounter this way too much. It almost makes me want to lie and say I am from Azerbaijan or something. The American tims on here are sound sure. But Americans in general - really - lets be honest - are pretty predictable. I just hate being stuck in the same little box with them sometimes. Maybe "love it or leave it" - but the immigration policies in other first world countries are too strict on working class guys like me. And I'd just be treated like a yank there anyway. Ah well. Whatever, you know??

anyway the other American users on here are very knowledgeable and good people. Most are much more knowledgeable than I am. Good people.

Eh, being from Ohio anytime I go on tour, or just to visit, a bigger city (New York, Deebo, Chicago-) and tell them where I am from, I usually get a response close to "oh it must suck to not live in a big city". One time out in San Diego, a friend of my cousins was genuinely shocked to hear I didn't raise cows or horses and that I didn't live on a farm. I honestly get a better response overseas as to where I am from than in other parts of my own country.
