    Neil Lennon is focused on tying down Israeli international midfielder Beram Kayal to a new deal with Celtic this summer.

    The Hoops chief has been impressed with the way the 30-year-old player adapted to the Scottish Premier League following his arrival from Maccabi Haifa last summer. And, with clubs in the Premier League alerted to his performances, Lennon is hoping to entice Kayal to stay put with a new improved contract, despite him still having three years on his remaining Parkhead deal.

    Lennon is a big fan of Kayal and revealed what he brings to the Hoops side earlier in the season when he said: "We are happy with Kayal's progress. He is still young, but he made such a difference in midfield for us.

    "He works very hard and brings effort, strength and power to the team."
