Ever hated a player now or then?

Football clubs should have a side business in anger management classes, they'd make a fortune.

Lee Naylor and Kenny Miller because they played soo much but were clearly *. Imagine Mo Camara and Jeremy Aliadiere played for 150+ games for us

 

Hate Mo Johnston and Kenny Miller for obvious reasons. I dislike Lou Macari for the way he tried to sue the club after he was sacked as manager. He lost the case btw, Paul McBride acting on behalf of the club from his pram!

There are a few who I am a bit * off with (don't hate them though) like Andy Walker and Frank McGarvey. Good servants to the club as players but it seems that they show no support for the club these days. They use the media to have a pop at the team or the gaffer e.g. Walker ripping Lenny apart at the start of the season for his signing policy which Walker claimed was to boost shirt sales worldwide even though he had no idea how good Emilio and Kayal actually are! McGarvey comes out of the woodwork every time something goes wrong at the club...
There is one Celt who used to stand up for the club on telly and that was Frank McAvennie. Needless to say he is rarely on the telly any more. Maybe the telly execs don't like seeing Celtic get any praise, or maybe I am reading into it too much...

 

Id take it easy on McGarvey though, hes had a hard life since leaving us and was an excellent Celtic player. The Club should employ him in some department though to stop him talking garbage in the papers 10 times a season

Ive seen his son at a few games, he was tipped to be a future Celtic player but lost a leg. McGarvey's a good guy. I would never speak about him in the same sentance as bawbags like Walker, Provan and Burley.

 

I wouldnt say I hate him but I really dislike Scott Brown.

Guy is an imposter , should never be captain. Cant play football , and never will. You cant teach natural ability and the guy clearly has none.

So he will forever be useless and still have a cult following because hardmen (no matter how * they are) are admired by some idiots.

He will still have a cult following because he done that to diouf. (which came back to bite him in the *.)

Arrogant if your good enough I admire ala Mourinho , Ronaldo.
Scott Brown is horrendous.

This has been his been his best season in a celtic jersey yet he has still been below par. Marc Crosas, Juarez, Donati and all those others who have suffered from his presence must be sick.

 

I don't dislike McGarvey. He had a good spell at Celtic and was clearly a supporter as a boy. Francis McGarvey could hardly support anyone else! The whole thing just annoys me. I wish these guys would come out and show some loyalty to the Celts rather than sticking the boot in. In difficult times - like we had this season - solidarity brings us together and makes us stronger. I hate to see it when newspaper editors get any opportunity to let rip and I think these guys should know better instead of ruining the memories we had of them while they were scoring goals in the Hoops!

* walker and burley do my head in, loved walker as a player but was never a big fan of burley as a player. Personally the both of them talk utter * all the time. Its hard to believe sometimes they both played for the club..

 

For me first and foremost yon k miller *. hated every moment of him in the hoops no mater how much contributions he may have made it aint the way of celts for me, we should never pick any mordor scum.

all above but mcdonald most i belive he was poison in dressing room and was ultimately the reason why he was shoved oot the door

 

McGarveys got his own company as a joiner now and regulary get's the maintenance of players houses.

Apart from him life is too short to hate anyone,dont care for a few of them but dont hate anyone.

 

Sammy doesn't deserve to be hated by so many.

 

Bit harsh on him he's maybe not got a lot of natural ability but not every team has 10 of the barca not included. But theirs more to football than that you need a bit of fight and some one who backs his team mate to the hill also think your wrong in sayin he's useless he's one of the players the can see a pass most can't granted they dnt always come of but who's do?
And btw Lennon wasn't blessed with natural ability but he did do to bad, you admited he had his best season this year add that to his player of the year award acouple of year back plus his personal problems I dnt think he's as bad as you think. Sorry to bore you but just wanted to back the captain and will continue to do so, hope I've altered your veiw alittle.

Agreed.

Some people may not rate him and think he's inconsistent. He loves the club and the fans, has put up with a shocking amount of abuse and never said a bad word towards the club. He gives his all, that may not be enough for some people but he doesn't deserve to be hated.

 

even though i have expressed my disgust at samaras every time i have seen him play for celtic, i have just decided right now that i am going to stick up for him from now on.

if he's good enough for lenny, he's good enough for me !

You're right, he doesn't deserve to be hated. He does deserve every last bit of criticism that is directed his way though.

He will be wonderful next year. Lennon will make him shine.
