Jos Hooiveld will be back at Celtic for pre-season training after Copenhagen knocked back the chance to turn his loan spell into a permanent move. (Daily Record)

I wouldn't mind giving him a chance here, he never had a fair crack of the whip.

me either always thought he had more in his locker than he showed. i think at times he was hung out to dry for his comments in the paper and not quite living up to it on the pitch.

if he can get a good pre season under his belt and keep his mouth shut i could see him coming onto a game this season. certainly a better option than loovens i feel

none of the centre backs we have are good enough, wilson untried so give him the benefit of the doubt

He hasnt had a fair chance but the only thing worring me about us keeping is there will be no room for a World Class cb. We have a lot of decent cbs on our books but no great ones.

Only time well tell if he stays and i he's actually good enough.

You'd like to think that if Mowbray could spot ANYTHING it would be a decent CB...right?

Was hoping for a straight swap with Solvi Ottesen, well it looks like he played in 11 matches while on loan there, I guess Hooiveld didn't impress.

So he may not be good enough for copenhagen but you'd like to give him a chance here? Hmmm, what have you seen of him that shows you he deserves another chance? Not allot? Could be because he's *? I do hope i'm wrong but I just don't like when fans think they know better than managers/coaching staff about players who they want rid of.

I'd sell him. Nice guy towards the press, talks a great game and appears as though he's a physical and commanding centre half, however, i have yet to see this side to his game when he has actually been on the pitch. A liability in my eyes who we should parp on for as much as we can possibly get so that we can fund a move for a better defender.

I'd sell him, he had his chance to convince Neil and he blew it; plus his mouthing off in the press which was acceptable at first was quickly shown for what it was; over compensating for his dubious football ability; talk the talk but cant walk the walk cliche every day of the week

    punt him

the only thing that held him back was his mouth. just shut up and play and show why celtic should keep you!

If this guy played as good as he spoke then he would genuinely be a world beater. Sadly he's pretty mediocre, punt him ASAP.
