    Either way, Kayal will be getting a wage rise and he deserves it to be brought in line with the high earners.

    He deserves a pay rise and I'd hope he club are looking to give him one to keep him here for longer but if all goes wrong, we still have him under contract for 2 more years which means we can hold onto him or cash in.

    Fair enough. I just doubt that any English papers will be bothered enough to fabricate stories about celtic. None of their readership give a flying * about the footballing backwater that is the SPL.

    Any proof that they are anti-catholic, anti-Irish and anti-Celtic btw?

    if hes busting a gut and putting in the best performances why shudnt he get payed the same of the likes of maloney ? i dont see anything wrong with him asking for the same as the top earners imo hes one of the best at the club if not thee best

    too many people ready to start flaming our players based on hearsay or paper talk...

    kayal deserves as much as celtic are able to pay him. a small price to pay to keep his quality at celtic park! as someone mentioned doesnt make sense having him on less than brown!

    If we are on here saying he is a £10m player, and the club rates him as such, then he deserves to be earning what a £10m player.

    He may love the club and the fans, but he will show no more loyalty than you or I would if another employer came in and offered us more wages. Its up to the board now to thrash out a suitable wage for him. I think he is key for us and he should immediately be put up to one of the highest wage earners. It will be the only way to stop other suitors coming in for him.

    Same with Izzy.

    Kayal is LOVED by us, the fans.

    Kayal LOVES playing for Celtic - look at his goal celebrations.

    Kayal DESERVES more than £7k a week (if that is what he is on). I would give him £25k on a 5 year deal at least.

    Kayal has 2 more years with us at least.

    Now, with that in mind, what does his agent have to gain by Kayal staying on the same deal at the same club? Nothing. The agent will be pushing for Kayal to ask for better terms or a transfer request is put in. With a re-negotiated contract the agent will get a slice of the action. With a move elsewhere, the agent will get a BIGGER slice of the action.

    Well done to Kayal for having his career as top priority and having the guts to sack an agent who was jeopordising it.

    Remember Ivan Ramis and the whole "the agent tried to screw us over" excuse the board fed us for not signing him?

    Starting to believe it.

    Players part with their agents regularly so no big panic.

    Kayal has still got lots to prove before he moves on, we'll get another couple of seasons out of him and by that time he'll realise why the likes of Henrik were happy to play at our club for so long.

    If we keep heading in the right direction on and off the park he could be our future captain!:shamrock:
