    Has anyone been out to the stadium where we won the big cup?

    Thinking of taking a trip next year and wondering if the stadium is worth going to see/anything to do there celtic-related?

    I'm sure I read somewhere that tours are not allowed. Something to
    do with vandalism. I think the people want the place knocked down because it's not modern enough.

    I went with a couple of mates, easy enough to get in, just asked the security guard and he let us crack on. I ran on and scored a screamer (with an imaginary ball) from about 40 yards.

    Was there in 1995. Not as imposing as it looks on the old footage.

    But obviously a magical place for the Celts.

    I was there in November 2006 or was it 2007?

    Anyway, it was fantastic and the closest I've ever felt to being spirtual. We were playing Benfica in the CL that night and the Lisbon Lions went to the stadium as well. There were hundreds of Celtic Fans there, on the pitch and everything....utterly brilliant.

    The taxi fron the city centre wasn't expensive but look out for the driver trying to rip you off! The taxis all have meters so pay attention to them. I don't know if you will be allowed in but it will be worth a try.

    I had a great time in Lisbon that day...until, that is 'Heid' got in on the act after just 5 mins and we got eventually humped 3-0:31:
    Lisbon is a nice city as well. Enjoy mate:50:
