    if we get to the latter stages of the Europa (semi final or final) will that be classed as going in the right direction or is it all or nothing? Latter stages would be very appealing to me at this point in time.

    We have been downsizing for years now,everyone knows that.

    This team is young and are still progressing while the likes of Nakamura and Robson were at their peak,I wouldn't swap this team for them.

    We have a good signing policy now.It seems we might go in the direction of the likes of Porto who bring in players and get a good couple of years out of them and sell them on for 2 or 3 times the price,which is a good way to go about things IMO.

    I totally disagree with the OP, we have never been in the market for top class players as the market is totally out of control. We always try and find talent on the cheap, why spend money we don't have? In going down that road the future of the club would be at risk. Just look at the trouble thehuns are in!

    We need to forget about Europe until we are actually playing in it, the only reason we got to the last 16 twice was the fact that we had Artur Boruc in goal. Do people actually remember some of the performances that man had, if he would have been in Martin O’Neil’s side * knows how far that team might have gone? Celtic are still building a side, we still need a centre half, goalie and a solid centre forward, But on the positive side the average age of the team is very young, we have the best midfield i have seen in a long time and i am actually enjoying the football on show and that’s what it’s about at the end of the day. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>

    we are going forward as a club, lets hope the board back lennon with money this summer to make us better and add to what we have got and that will mean we are moving forward even more if not we will be taken a side step again
