Reading Val McDermids Fever of the Bone just now. Good stuff from one of Scotlands best writers.

    Fantastic autobiography.

I don't enjoy football ones so much...they're mostly all the same, with one or two exceptions.

Tyson's book is pure entertainment, with some proper LOL moments too.

    Read it last year :50:

A Time Odyssey Part 2: Sunstorm. By Arthur C Clarke.

The Time Odyssey are Sir Clarke's last books written between 2002 and 2006, shortly before he died. The are written in conjunction with some JPL scientist (I think). This one's a bit harder to get into than part one: Time's Eye.

Novels that take place exclusively in the American South, i enjoy a wide range of books sci fi fantasy, comedy thought provoking, but lately i'm delving more and more into the Southern Gothic genre and pretty much cant ever imagine myself reading anything but that again. William Faulkner Cormac McCarthy are two great Authors in that genre..

Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian is one of the best books of all time, not been brave enough to tackle a Faulkner novel yet.

Yes without a doubt Blood Meridian is possibly one of the greatest, have you tried anymore Cormac McCarthy, i'm pretty obsessed with the guy i'd recommend everything i mean everything he has done has stuck with me but one that continually comes to mind along with Blood Meridian is Suttree honestly check it out.

You wont regret it when you do check out Faulkner :50:

You might also like to read Flannery O'Connor, who is very highly regarded as a Southern Gothic writer. Her stories are discomfiting and difficult, and 'A good man is hard to find' is considered to be one of the greatest American short stories.
