    Well he's signed Commons , a teammate at Notts Forest , and now Kelvin Wilson who was also his teammate at Notts Forest.
    We all know he loved Scott Brown when he was playing , he still does and hence why he probably made him captain.
    Not that this really bothers me as they are all really good players , just pointing out a fact.

    As long as they keep doing the business I am fine with him doing the old pals act, if they stopped playing well and he kept them in the side then I would worry.

    I didn't know he played in Honduras, Israel or Mexico. I must have missed that period of his career.

    TBH I would worry more if he didn't use the contact he had built up throughout his career.

    If you have a teammate you rate highly and move club and go into management then what is wrong with signing and playing that player. Commons has done well since he came to us and merits a place on the team.

    Seems to me the poster was being a tad unrealistic , was he having a go at Lenny ? Who in his first season as manager got us to 2 cup finals and had we not blown it at inverness we would have won the title ,wish he had more pals imo

    Its the same as what managers do when they move clubs, they try and bring ex players to there new club as they know how good they are and how much hunger they have. Kris Commons for example has been what a signing, keep them coming Lenny :50:

    Hmm Lennon has also signed a lot of players with the letter A in their name, Anthony Stokes, GAry Hooper, Emilio IzAguiere, BerAm KAyAl, DAryl Murphy, FrAser Forster, DAniel MAjstorivc, could be onto something here.

    Commons, Wilson and Brown were not his 'mates'.

    He played with Commons briefly and he always rated Wilson.

    It's good, people he can trust. It's the best form of scouting that you can get. MON done it with Neil Lennon himself.
