I cringed when he said that... guy is a Celtic fan as well. Australian media are so clueless when it comes to football.

Bet Lenny got off the phone and thought "what a tossbag." That aside, I think it's great that Celtic's tour over here is getting coverage in our media.

Eddie Maguire is such a *... and that's not just cause of the Collingwood connection, he just is. Much respect for Lenny... oh, and to the Celtic players, if that wee hun scumbag Kevin Muscat is still playing for Victory when the Hoops arrive, please give him a wide berth, as he'll probably try to break someone's leg.

Thankfully, Muscat has retired. Played is last game in the asian champions league a few weeks ago.

I quite liked the guy's nonchalant attitude.Took the sting out of it a bit for me.Also liked the comment he made about how the hatred catholics and protestants have for each other, tends to dissipate when they go into the southern hemisphere. The animosity seems pointless.

McGuire is highest profile media identity in Australia and is also President of the biggest Australian Rules Club Collingwood who have over 1 million fans...McGuire is an unashamed Celtic man..... Celtic has Rod Stewart and Billy Conolly globally as raging Celtic ambassadors, well in Australia you cannot have any bigger name fly the Celtic flag than McGuire!!!!!! hail hail

Eddie McGuire is a *, plain and simple. Him being associated with the Magpies is just an added bonus, so I can dislike them both, lol. As for him being a Celtic man, that I am far from convinced about... Indeed, he was all about LA Galaxy when Beckham toured & all about Man U when they toured when Bosnich was there & they had the likes of Yorke & Cole etc. He just jumps on bandwagons. Sycophantic *.
