my mum was a protestant and my dad is a catholic, back in the 6o`s the father usually made the decision on how the kids would be raised ,so my sister and i were both raised catholic.I`m not sure the same rules apply today.

My dad`s side were all Celtic through and through ,they were all from Dalmarnock,Brigton and Barrafeild area,my mum`s side were from Parkheid,Tolcross area.

So anyway i was raised on Celtic, thank *.My mum changed to Catholicism in the early 80`s and a slow process began by the time Larsson arrived my maw and paw had wee jobs in paradise, now my mum would rip the face off anyone that tried to bring her beloved Celtic down in any way,I feel so proud of her she`s come a long way.

Yes my father was a Celtic fan and my Grandad was but interestingly enough my Mum was a Celtic fan amongst a protestant Rangers supporting family(she is protestant too) and she told me she took a shine to Celtic purely coz she fancied Danny McGrain :icon_mrgreen:

My dad used to play soccer, but never followed european soccer until I was born. We both got interested and I picked Celtic and he picked Arsenal. Not raised a tim, but ended up one anyway.:celt_2:

Dad is a Rangers fan. Though his whole family is split Catholic/Protestant.
My Catholic granny used to tell me stories about her dad and their dog 'jinky' i was always amazed. My aunt is also a Catholic and her whole family were Tims.
So i was a rangers fan til i was four, then my granny took me to the good side.

Though my dad has been a class act, took me to a few pre-season games and took me down to seattle last year to see em. he even shouted at Lenny to get me an autograph.

Not all the huns are scum...well not my dad :50:

my mum and dad were never interested in football, but my uncle took me to Celtic Park for the first time in1973 in a league cup sectional match against Arbroath. I remember a wee red headed guy running up and down the wing. I wonder who he was?

Both parents are big Celtic fans so I have been a fan since I can remember and some of my earlier memories are about Celtic. Grew up during the Huns 9IAR so was constantly dissapointed but always kept the faith and finally got to see The Hoops lifting the league trophy when I was 9. I think that was the first time I realised just what Celtic meant when grown men were in tears when my parents took me to the Royston street party and then Calder Vaults pub in Sighthill which was bouncing.

Never got to go to many games growing up as my dad spent all the money in the before mentioned Calder Vaults pub so didn't get to games regularly until about 5 years ago.

My fondest memories bar stopping the 10 have to be the MON years, The King of Kings and the Champions League nights under Strachan. So glad I got to see these after the first half of my life was spent watching us get pumped off the huns time and time again.

I am from newcastle (england) and all my mates supported them, so my dad said he would take me to celtic park and from then i could make my own mind up.

i will never forget walking out the tunnel on the tour of the stadium as a small kid and my jaw just hit the floor. from then i have had irrational hatred for newcastle and myself, dad and bro are all "die hard" celtic supporters!!!

The first time my dad held me he tried to put me in a Celtic kit, obviously he needed to wait a few days before my mum would let him :50:

No one in my family were really interested in football but I always followed Celtic because I got a hand me down of the centenary jersey from someone and then santa got me the 1996 Celtic annual with Mc Stay lifting the scottish cup on front of it and that was me hooked.Still got that book :50:
