It really is how you define supporting the team.
For me it is Celtic, no doubt. I don't follow any team to the extent i do for Celtic.
But seeing other teams do well, surely that is a form of support.
It really is down to whoever you would rather see win when two teams play, that is a form of support.
But teams that i keep an eye on and like to see do well; Leeds, Lyon and Villarreal .

Celtic are my team. I don't believe in supporting more that one football team. Load of rubbish. Due to my father living around the UK in his younger days, he likes Liverpool and Sunderland so I always look out for both their results and hope they do well. Been to El Classicos several times to watch Real Madrid. Really just for tourist thing.

No you cant support 2 teams I dont think everyone grows up supporting one team, they may choose another team or teams they like but its never anything close to the team they first support. I like other teams like Dortmund, Lazio, AC Milan, Villarreal, Barcelona, Valencia, Liverpool but it doesn't bother me if they win, lose or draw, mostly like them because I liked them when I was younger or certain players from them and used to get their tops. Liverpool and Dormund were the teams I liked in the late 90's and used to get their tops when I was a wee guy, then it was Barcelona and Valencia, I went to their stadiums with my dad when we were on holiday about 10/11 years ago then always got their tops, I always liked Lazio from when I was wee watching them on channel 4 because the colours of their tops, then Shevchenko at AC Milan I used to like him and got their tops for a few seasons and since we played Villarreal in Europe ive always liked them since, they came and beat us fair and square and caught my eye, was the first time I had really seen us get a good beating at Celtic Park from anyone... even though as im typing this i think it was actually 1-1 haha

it was 2002 i started, so that makes me 11 sorry, i was in Barcelona for holidays and i went to see the stadium and bought a top, so naturally as you do when your young, you take an interest in the team, maybe not support but an interest, so i learned more about them and started likin them more, i even begged my parents to see the stadium again the following year lol, and its just escalated from there, i mild childhood interest, the kind that you usually drop eventually, but ive not, its grew

Barca finished 4th the season before i liked them and 6th the season after, so it was more than about glory hunting, its merely a coincedence they got so good imo

    Well said.
Change Pompey with Barca, Red Star and Athletic Bilbao and that is my answer.

I would say glory hunting was claiming you support a team but never actuallly going or making an effort to go to any of their games. Even if you've not got a lot of money or they are far from where you live you'd save up for ages just to get to a match or buy a season ticket one year.

Sitting from afar, watching on TV and calling yourself a diehard :38:.. while supporting a more local team.

It really just costs to much for some folk though,I think that's really unfair calling them glory hunters.

i've not been to a Celtic match for about 3 years because i've not got the money, i've just been watching on TV. Does that make me a glory hunter?

No. But you said glory hunting was claiming to support a team but never actually go to any games. I claim to support Celtic and I hardly go to any games.
