Picking up a cool £338,000 a week before 13% tax. i guess that would be enough for any one to turn a blind eye.

I really thought he would have higher ambtions than that. I hounestly see people moving clubs for 60000 rather than 20000 or moveing to get 120000 rather than 70000 but thier is a point when you just are makeing enough money he is probibly on 120000 at Inter even to double that I would rather live in Milan than Russia and compete in one of the best leauges in the world than be mid table in Russia... thats really sad actually * oil money. Wonder if Snijder will move now

Andrey Arshavin has scotched reports he is about to leave Arsenal and return to Russia.

The former Zenit St Petersburg midfielder has been linked with the Anzhi Makhachkala, who are bankrolled by billionaire owner Suleyman Kerimov, captained by former Brazil World Cup winner Roberto Carlos and recently signed Yuri Zhirkov from Chelsea.

"I have already said that this season I am sure to be at Arsenal, and not somewhere else," added Arshavin, 30, who signed for the Gunners in January 2009.

"If I ever return to Russia, then the priority option for me will be Zenit - but no-one can predict what will happen to you in the future, in a few years or even a season. As the saying goes: if you want to make * laugh - tell him about your plans for tomorrow

You know how much? Think he would be decent for us depending on the price. Good height and wins his fair share of headers. Can play up top on his own and can play of a striker. Reminds me of Shane Long but not as good.

I hear what you're saying mate. Yes, they are a bigger club, but the EPL is a bigger league, so from that perspective it would be a step up.

However, given the clubs he's been linked with (Real Madrid, Chelsea) and the outstanding talent that he has, it could be said that he is better than joining Spurs. Plus, there's that 100m Euro buy-out clause of his. Porto would sell for £35m plus I think, but Spurs aren't in the market, even at that price.
