It should now be ok for us to sing about them, given that Liz has bowed her head to them

Not seen it on TV don't want to see it either, the president of Ireland should be held for treason. To invite the devil to Ireland makes me * sick this day is grey on the Irish people and I bet the irish people fell betrayed by their own kind :38:

It is not a matter of "times have changed"

Times will never change. Paddy Pearse, James Connolly and the rest of the brotherhood would be turning into their graves, makes me * sick.

The irish defence force on playing a part of the welcoming that scumbag should reconsider their moto oglaigh na heireann my *.

"take it down from the mast irish traitors" :47:

Not seen it really, just watched a debate on Press TV - which was great.

I thought it was a good thing that she came over to pay respect to the heroes of 1916, but she should have made a speech apologising for the history.

And as for GSTQ in the Gardens of Rememberence. if that happened then its sick. Very sick. If so, she should have stayed at home.

To be fair its not like they want to do it, they have no choice. The president and Enda Kenny should be ashamed of themeselves for making them. Bringing the Queen over was hard enough but to play GSTQ in the rememberance garden is too much and I felt sick watching it. The Irish goverment are more or less spitting in the grave of those brave volunteers who gave there lives so the likes of End Kenny and Mary McAleese had the right to call themselves Irish. A Dark day for the Irish people.

Mary Mc Aleese has turned her back on the many people who voted for her as a northern nationalist and someone who would represent their feelings as well as ours. I feel ashamed that I voted for her.

    Let the people sing,
I am absolutely shocked and dumbfounded that the British national anthem was sung in the Garden of Rememberance.

Utterly appalled, i really can't believe it.

Good thing you couldn't hear it over those brave men and women of 1916 who were turning IN THEIR GRAVES!:31:

    This visit is a disgrace.

I am not against a better relationship forming between Ireland and England but there are still a lot of issues to be resolved before this visit should have been sanctioned.

We have to remember that the Queens son is the commander in chief of the parachute regiment who are responsible for many atrocities in the North including the murder of 11 innocent people in Ballymurphy including a Catholic priest going to the aid of a wounded victim.
This has still not been addressed nor been recognized by the British as a blatant slaughter of innocents and it would suit the Irish government to pursue these matters before we have Royal visits that cost the Irish tax payers £26 million for its security which is astonishing considering the shambolic state of the countries financial affairs. :shamrock:

if it could bring the two communities together i would have been all for it but to me this was all about the fact that they represnt something that that institution is in the past and has no part in this time and place and to play that tune just shows how ignorant or even worse triumphant they are they have no place in our world

I've not seen much of it, saw GSTQ being played but they didn't show it in the Garden. Anyone have a link?
