The man has done what he said he would.

He transformed a lame duck of a side who bottled it so many times last year. Now, we're a much stronger unit on the field. Physically and mentally - the team is better.

His teams have played some good football at times, too. Pressing football, good passing, energy and intensity and it's been enjoyable.

He came close to the League Cup, and very close to the League. Now we have a Cup final to look forward to, and hopefully a trophy to cap off a good transitional season.

More importantly, he brought back 'the thunder'. Some sectors of the support fell out of love a little bit recently. The atmosphere was a bit flat, we felt no real connection with the players or the managers.

In comes Lennon, and a group of players who seem to know just what it means to play for the club. And you only had to look at the scenes today to realise how much things have changed in the last 18-24 months. Despite losing the league today, there is a lot of positivty surrounding the club and that can only be a good thing.

How long do we have to wait for an announcement on a contract for Lennon and his staff?
Personally, I can't wait to hear the news and I think we should get the guy on a long-term deal and let him build on what he's done so far.

    Hail! Hail!

im sure the board and Neil will sit down after we win the scottish cup for discussions about renewing his contract (which should take minutes) and then we will hear the news.

Lenny is on a 1 year rolling contract, so there's no need for an announcemnet concerning that.

The only thing I'd expect to hear is about the backroom staff.

    I'm not picky.
I'm very sure that they will go into talks after the season. Now isn't the time with there still being one game left. After that, the players and management will all go on their breaks and holidays. Once they come back to start on next season, I'm sure they will go into talks then and I'm sure they will give a decent contract hopefully.

Would be a big boost to our support and two fingers up to the rest in Scotland if a new improved contract was announced for Lenny and his staff. I'm sure it would also help attract new players if they knew he will be sticking about.

The contract talk is a lot of nonsence.

Hes on a rolling contract which will exist until he resigns or is sacked, neither of which is going to happen. So he'll always have a contract, its not like we have to give him a certain number of years as he wont leave for another job.

lawwell and lennon where doing a Q&A and lawwell said lennon is on a 12 month rolling contract and it's suits celtic and lennon

he went to also say lennon will not have a trasfer budget like other managers per se.....

this was in another thread btw

i dont think we need worry about him tbh! the way he was cheered through the season and even moe so today(by an amazing set of fans today has to be said you would have thought we won the title) that would give clear indication to the board we want lenny to stay! and of what he said also about going no where is more of an indication he is staying

Wild horses couldn't drag Neil away.

He is on a year rolling contract so he's here until at least the end of next season.

Football contracts are changing. England gave Capello a 6 year contract or something ridiculous like that and they all wanted rid of him after the world cup.

i remember an interview with him a while back and there was a question about this and he said he was on a 1 year rolling contract and that he would speak to the board once the season was over and that was that. id expect the board to offer him a new one in the coming weeks and i have no doubt that lennon will accept.
