Does anyone think that in the unlikely event that results went in our favour this Sunday, that not only would the campaign of hatred against Lenny would intensify, but that considerable amounts of civil unrest would occur.

I do, and more to the point the authorities appear to be burying their heads in the sand over the likelihood that such scandalous events could happen.

It's only a few weeks ago since this was being labelled as a West of Scotland problem, now the lid has been blown off that particular myth. What occured on Wednesday night at Tynecastle must have been terrifying for any parents with young children as the true side of the East Coast bigots was revealed.

Going back to my first point, can I ask all Celtic supporters to be very wary of their surroundings, particularly on Sunday post match, and even more so if we win the league.

    We would win the league.

The secarianism has been there for decades, why do some think it is just a new thing on the east coast?????

Or am I just an old C*unt?

    And that was deplorable.
That really isn't comparable to what has happened to our club and particularly Neil Lennon this season and before. Are you really trying to peddle the just as bad as each other myth?

Would * love it if we win the league on sunday and the party inside celtic park will be the best ever. Have to admit though, i'll be watching my back on the way home. For some reason, a lot of normally sad and bitter huns seem to hate us even more this season. I think the OP is right, us winning the league will create mayhem and lenny probably will get it even worse.
What the * does nacho novo have to do with the nationwide anti lennon hatred?

Come on now dont bury your head in the sand mate, there were pictures all over the media of graffiti wishing death on Novo.
Not only did the songs wish death on Novo they wished it to happen at the hands of an anti UK terrorist organisation.

Now because of the hostility here is the very reason that I rarely post.
    Why do you assume that
    1 - I am not a Celtic fan
2 - If I am not a Celtic fan than I must be a Rangers fan

As an earlier poster pointed out, If anything the events of midweek proved that Lenny is hated by more than Rangers fans.

My post was merely to point out that we are not whiter than white.

I believe we are pickign up a touch of critism in the press today for the bigotry and sectarianuism on display from US at Tynecastle.

No one would say that we're entirely innocent but don't accuse us of Bigotry and Sectarianism as the Celtic Support is multicultural and multinational. I think we can reserve those words for Rangers fans who seem to hate anyone Irish or Catholic. I don't hate anyone and I consider myself to be British although my Political allegiance is with my country. Our problem at Tynecastle was that resentment towards the way Lenny has been treated boiled over and the Rebel songs were belted out. I admit we should have been better than that and the world was watching. Yes Novo was despised but no one attempted to assault him on the pitch, sent him bullets and bombs. No one kept up a concerted campaign of hate to the extent that he couldn't live a normal lifestyle in as much as any OF player could. You're obviously with the "as bad as each other brigade" and in some cases we might be........we can no more stop our lot from singing reb songs than they can stop their FTP!

    Ignored the first one eh..

Stop trying to equate our supporters with scum like the huns, this season alone proves that we are nowhere near as bad as them.
There hasn't been any retaliation from the Celtic support.
    No bombs.No bullets.
Bringing up graffiti outside Novos home from probably more than 5 years ago does not put us on par with them.
It's a pathetic attempt to try and tarnish our supporters name.

The term you used "anti UK" is very telling, because I've only ever heard that term used by,well, you know.

The events of this midweek, proved that the wee huns, inspired by their Loyalist sympathising, anti Catholic/Irish bigot fans, are as much scum as the orcs that visit Mordor week in week out to sing their filth.
There was no sectarianism from our support at Tynecastle either.

mate we didnt send nacho novo parcel bombs nor did he ever get physically attacked either when playing football or in the street! nor did nacho novo have to live with 24 hour securtity, get bulets in the post, or have his family live in a safe house when he was out!

One point aswell you tell me where we doing sectarian chanting aswell? we did not chant anything that mentioned creed or religion. its UR assumtion and narrow mindness that fails to see that the IRA was intially set up by many Protestants aswell as catholics. and so much so the QUeen is laying a wreeth for the dead of the old IRA when se visits ireland.

Ohh and another reason we havent been punished ever for our chanting is because i will say again it is NOT sectarian or bigited. at most offensive, and how do you stamp out offensive songs?? I will agree that these chants are debatable due tobeing offensive but in no way ILLEGAL OR BIGOTED!

i dont care if your a celtic supporter or not i believe you are trawling for a reaction and you got one¬!

I think the initial thing that would happen would be a lot of Celtic fans would pish their pants with excitement. The rest of the night would be a blur.
