    I'm not picky.
Them or anyone saying this AND justifying the threats are the true dicks! How ANYONE can justify bullets, death threats & bombs being sent to anyone is the lowest of the low. How many people think that half of Rangers are dicks yet they don't get all this bullshit thrown at them. I think Wayne Rooney is one of the biggest * that walks the face of the planet for instance but I would never DREAM of justifying anything like this if things like bombs & bullets were sent to him.

All Neil is guilty of is being manager of Celtic FC and being a Catholic from Northern Ireland and with the attacks and threats on him just proves it's to do with sectarianism and when people hear about this and see it happening they just think it's a west of Scotland problem which is not the case. People see this happening and turn a blind eye to it because they think it's not their problem but with them doing that they are ADDING to the problem.

NO ONE can seriously justify anyone getting threats like this even if you dislike the guy or not. If anyone can justify it purely by thinking that the guy is a * then they are just as big a cretin as the ones sending threats like this.

He doesn't bring it on himself, but if I was receiving death threats then I probably wouldn't be cupping my ears at Ibrox, just sayin.

Lads, this article has articulated it quite well - and from a Liverpool supporter as well.

    http://www.not606.com/content.php/300

"It's a peculiar mindset that seeks to find mitigating circumstances for actions which simply have no defence. By all means hate Neil Lennon and by all means find him irritating as *, but nothing - nothing - justifies the stuff he's been putting up with. To continually look for justification, a trigger, something with which to say "he had it coming and/or brought it all upon himself" is simply to dance with the damned.

Of course there are poorly developed human beings who will find themselves provoked to the point of madness, but this would appear to be their problem and fault, not something with which to blame the target and cause of their ire.

The problem, in other words, appears to lie with those who allow themselves to be provoked in such a manner, not with the source of the provocation itself (however careless, irritating or utterly thoughtless they may sometimes appear to be). How hard, after all, is it to stop yourself from attacking someone or sending them bombs in the post?

The mindset is not entirely dissimilar to that of those weird judges who persist in saying that a short skirt may provoke a raping. Sure, but only from mentally deficient monsters.

This is a subversion of some fairly fundamental principles. How the * is that not obvious?

If the perpetrators lack the self-restraint to behave in a morally acceptable manner, then I would have hoped that it was blindingly obvious where any blame should lie.

It’s almost embarrassing to point to Neil Lennon’s former transgressions whilst attempting to understand or justify the actions of his tormentors. The scale of his “crimes” is so microscopic and inconsequential when set against those of his would-be attackers – even if he occasionally gives the impression of being out of control – that to see them in the same light requires a kind of myopic intransigence that simply reeks of an anti-intellectual dishonesty.

The actions against him are so wrong, so utterly out of perspective, that they don’t need referenced against anything else. They stand alone as acts of a surpassing and hate-filled stupidity – and the failure to condemn them without harking back to whatever pathetic little example one may think of is simply a horrible, horrible moral failure."

I am totally sick of hearing this, and rangers fans that i've known for years are really showing there true bigoted selves. I really cant face these horrible bassa's much longer without exploding. All Lenny has done is no worse than the mind games that Alex Ferguson has been playing for years or Jose Morinho's antics that the english love and call him a character thats good for the game.

If Gordon Strachan had been acting in the same manner as lenny, no fuss would be made. Its only because Lenny is a catholic northern irishman in charge of celtic that they cant handle, and it shows just how scotland stills resents catholics. I really want Lenny to stay, but with a young family i wouldn't blame him if he walked and if that was the case i dont think celtic should stay in scotland. * THEM ALL. :47:

too many people mistake Neils passion for the club as aggression.

the people who do this are mindless scumbag thugs, Neil doesn't deserve any of it.

He is a passionate Celtic manager and ex player, an Irish catholic who sees no need to defer to the Scotish media and play their game. They ,therefore, have villified him, exagerated his failings (like everyone he has them !!) and, in effect, demonised him in the eyes of all except those of us who admire him and agree with his take on the many wrongs present in Scottish football. Stay with it Neil, legend in the making.Y.N.W.A

I was nearly in tears reading about his attack in the paper (could be the PMS) but he looked a broken man, completely shaken after it had happend and still had the courage the stay there and stand by his team. I love Neil Lennon for what he brings to Celtic.

I cant even go on facebook anymore without sitting reporting all the venomous comments aimed torwards him. I honestly hate the huns but wouldnt wish what Lennon has been through on any of them.

The man has a wife and kids, why do people not understand this. My boyfriend (who is a hun) also hates Lennon and says he loses the rag waay to easy and I was quick to point out that he was exactly the same and had a very short temper (could be a red head thing). For Lennon to be under the extreme pressure that he is and still have brought us this far is nothing short of a miracle. He has a very strong character and is someone I hope to see at Celtic for a long time.

For me, winning the league or scottish cup doesnt seem important anymore with the recent threats taking most of the enjoyment out the season. I just want our manager and fans to be safe and I cant stomach the thought of those bigots getting the better of us. I hope Lennon is here to manage us next season.

    One Neil Lennon :shamrock:

To be honest, it deserves Neil Lennon right.

Why did he have to be Irish, a nationalist, an ex Celtic player, a Celtic supporter and of all the audacity to become a Celtic manager.
All these factors combined is just intolerable and the ultimate insult to these poor misguided souls.

This would have started a war in any other country, it is a well these people have a very high tolerance level.

I don't even think Neil Lennon is really ginger.
I think he actually dyes his hair ginger to put the final nail into their
    wee poor cold cold hearts.

Enough of this back Lenny business. :97:
These people have a point. After all, They are the people. :87:

i had a massive arguement on facebook last nite, with close friends, on this same point! Nearly ALL of them are of the opinion that lenny "deserves what he gets", or "brings it on himself" id post the arguement on here but im afraid alot of you guys would lose the plot...as i did!!

These are not friends who i'd usually class as ""HUNS".....these are friends who USUALLY are just football fans, who support Rangers, and dont come accross as bitter or bigoted, but some true colours shone through last nite, I was fuming!!!

Love him, hate him; cheer him, boo him; all fair, but no one deserves what he's been through this year.
