No.It can't be put down to one person, but he hasn't helped except from the Ibrox game at New Year.

Management and teams fault.Next season,we'll win it.

It was one of many things that did.

But no personally i wouldnt single it out ,,,his goals at Ipox in the 2-0 game turned our season around imo & it would in no way be fair to blame one player for this season.. the blame lies with the board the team & the managment staff in my opinion... no one else

I think we did not too bad.

Bare in mind although R*ngers have a small squad, they are used to playing together & most of them have been together for a considerable time, Know the manager & know the league. They're also the most expensive team in the SPL.

Lennon has rebuild the team, players are getting used to the SPL, the manager, and each other. Add to that their personal developement - its a fairly young squad.

There are other seasons where the amount of points we have won would have got us the title

If anything, I'd blame the state we were left in when Mowbray went. It takes a little while to recover from such a mess, we almost did it in a season, but not quite.

If we loose this title by a point, then you can look back on every game that we dropped points in and blame anyone of those matches.

The huns will have to do the same over the next two seasons. I honestly don't think they have the quality to be able to do it, from the very top to the bottom. The sticking plaster that they have just aquired will not replace the deep surgery they need.

It pains me as much as anyone to have come so close. But the fact we have is an indication of the success we will be enjoying in the future.

    Hail hail.

don't you agree it's time celtic send big on some quality gk cb's another midfielder and a target man and then we would not need to spend for a good few seasons and they could fit in and be like tha rangers team know each other and ect

the time to do it is now, the board had it's chance to do it under WGS and failed so they can redem themselfs now by backing lennon

It wasn't just Samaras missing that penalty that has, in all likelihood, cost us the league. But him missing that penalty was a HUGE moment in the title race. He should never have taken that kick, he was * bricks waiting to take it and he's not mentally strong enough to handle a situation like that, but he wanted to hog the glory for himself and ended up missing it.

I already couldn't stand the guy but him missing that just gives me another reason to want him gone. He's pish and I hope he never pulls on a Celtic strip again.

Nope. The people who think Sammy cost us the title mainly disliked him in the first place in my opinion.

I disagree, if he was * himself then he wouldn't have the balls to take it...whereas i think stokes, commons etc didn't have the balls, stokes had won the penalty, he's scored plenty of pens, but had missed one the week before, so i reckon he was reluctant to take it, Commons had scored a penalty the week before, and has come out and said he wanted to take it, i don't believe samaras would have contested it if commons grabbed the ball and said he's taking it, but he never.

It's also worth mentioning how good a save it was from McGregor, and if it had been Commons, and he had struck it like samaras did, and McGregor pulled off that save, i don't believe you or any others would give him he same amount of stick or blame for it.

Samaras' goalscoring record is poor, and will always be brought up in argument against what i have to say, but he's unplayable on his day, best in the spl imo, when he's at his best (unfortunately thats not nearly enough)

I dont think its fair to blame sammy, he won us 3 points against the huns at new year and it was the ict game that cost us the title

If Commons had missed that penalty, you are right, I would not give him the same level of abuse for it. The simple reason being that Commons has contributed massively to the team since he arrived here. Samaras has been * this season and been * for most of his time at Celtic. That's why he receives so much grief from me. He has let us down so many times I refuse to give him the benefit of the doubt anymore. If I go to a match I'll support him while I'm in the stadium but on here all bets are off. I think the guy's a * diddy.

I am truly speechless that you can use the word unplayable in the same sentence as the name Samaras. You and me clearly won't agree on Samaras' worth as a player so we'll just have to call it a draw and agree to disagree. :50:

it was a factor. not the sole reason we are where we are but it contributed.

Points lost in december and the ICT game last week has cost us the league, that's if things don't go our way this week.

It would have given us a huge advantage but at the end of the day if he hadn't played the way he did in the new year game the Huns would have been out of site
