Got to say I have not seen this level of support for a manager who has failed to win the title in a long time. Probably since tommys time. Lenny definitely has more unconditional support than most of our managers were granted. I agree he should be given another season but I wouldn't tolerate another title failure.

    Ok I will swear too.
We didnt just lose out for the SPL title this season its been the last * three seasons including this one, and I have * well explained why it will be four for Rangers next season, cant you read properly we have THOSE the same people running the club!
Progress in a two team third rate league and being second runners up, and useless in Europe how the * is that progress!

I think both sides of this debate are exaggerating. I do believe how well we have done is being exaggerated a bit. Lenny has done well but he has failed to pull of the trick of rebuilding and winning the title that mon and wgs did and the rangers side we faced this season was the weakest yet. He did fairly well and signed four gems for low money but he also looked naive at times often at crucial moments. Bottom line is we had the best player and rangers had the best manager.

If we win the next 2 games we will have obtained 92 points. Lennon has never lost at Ibrox and has proven to be an extremely astute buyer in the market spending less on; Kayal, Hooper, Ledley, Emilio, Stokes and Commons than the huns have on Laugherty and Jelavic.

People can see progress, sense potential and are willing to back a man that is so staunchly vilified by everyone other than Celtic fans his very existence is in danger.

Your tone regarding Lennon is one of slight bitterness due to previous managers not being afforded the same level of goodwill. Arguably you have a point but ultimately it is completely churlish.

but they still helped rangers win the league by the looks of it, so they have been good signings aswell cheap or not that 8m has still near enough helps them to 3 in a row and the double

I'll be disappointed if certain players are still here next season, we tend to carry to much dead wood, a certain amount of progress has been made but as yet we have won hee-haw.

I think any manager who takes the title race to the final week of the season deserves to keep their job for another season.

There's no doubt in my mind come what may we will romp the title next season. In fact I hope that Rangers can stave off any administration or tax bills they're facing until we're champions so they can't have any excuses.

Celtic helped the huns win the league more than those 2 did.

For all he has hit a purple patch, Lafferty is a lanky streak of * with a goalscoring record that would make Filip Sebo blush. Jelavic has proved to be a good signing but again at a cost.

Gice me our squad over theirs any day of the week, despite us handing them the title on a plate.

Bit OTT ! I think there is an attitude where lenny cannot be even mildly criticised without getting jumped on. Of course we have seen progress but there have definitely been some concErns. A cup half empty view would say we had a golden patch from January to march but the rest of the season has been a mixed bag. The main thing I am impressed at is his finding 4 gems for peanuts so he can spot players and that has bern vital because mogga left a shell of a squad behind. However in my opinion it is fair comment to say lenny is a mixed bag tactically and right now still has a lot to learn.

but they both still did help them win the league, even at a cost he won them the league cup final and scored a good few goals what looks like them winning the league he has paid his fee in full if they get tino the champions league next season if not by the europa league

i want our squad aswell but we need to spend some money to get some better players in with some of the players we have with a bit more quailty we would beat rangers

    I don't think that's true tbh.

It was certainly true of O'Neill but Lennon has yet to receive that level of goodwill. Celtic fans relate to him but all I've heard for the past week speaking to Celtic fans is of his 'gross mis-management' last Wednesday which is a fair enough point but doesn't deal with the bigger picture.

    92, 91, 84, 89, 82, 81, 86 (92 possible) -> total points since 2004/2005. Points in bold won the spl.

if we win our two remaining games Lenny will have won more points in his first season than WGS could in 4. I don't know wassup with you guys, but this is the first time I have seen rock n roll on the pitch, passionate supporters and good football in a very long time. Lenny has brought thunder, passion, pride and hope back.

I like what I have seen so far and can't wait to see next season. it's very unlucky Lenny had to face this rangers team.. although they didn't seem to be world beaters against us, they hardly dropped points against other teams and gained an insane amount of points.

They nearly played a perfect season.

We all knew that giving Lenny the job was a bit of a gamble, but personally I think he's done a great job.
Compared to Mowbray's time at Celtic, the club has been revitalised both on & off the park, & this is purely down to Lenny & the fans.
Our squad is probably the best we've had in years, quality signings and free flowing attacking football have been missing the last few years, it's great to see it back & the atmosphere at Parkhead has been amazing this year.

Lenny still has a lot to learn, tactics & some strange subs have been highlighted, but we have to give him time, I still feel we lack a plan B for sandpits like Motherwell & Inverness, but we only need to add a few quality players this summer rather than the complete overhall we needed last year.

Loving the direction the club has taken under Lenny, long may it continue.

he may have more points but he never won the league, i would see the point if finished 3rd last season but we did not we finished 2nd and looks like it this season aswell....

progress is when we win the league

I disagree. the title is our goal and progress is the way to the title. We already have more points now than in our 2 previous seasons. to me that is progress.

if we gain another 6 points we will have the most points since 6 years.

the only reason why we don't win the spl this season is because the huns have played a nearly perfect season.

but we never won the league points count for * all, league titles do! you can try and number crunch and dress it up all you want, facts are it looks like we have finished 2nd yet again for the 3 year running so you can disagree all you like but thats the truth of it.

who cares about the extra 6 points if we did not win the league? the league title is more inportant than racking up points and finishing 2nd don't you agree?

also have to disagree about rangers and the nearly perfect season we lost the league and handed it to rangers and make * ups thats the only reason we lost the league
