It is hard to believe that 10 years have passed since Celtic’s legendary Treble-winning season of 2000-01 and it seems like only yesterday since Martin O’Neill restored the Hoops to pre-eminence assisted, of course, by the great Henrik Larsson, Chris Sutton, Paul Lambert and, of course, current manager Neil Lennon.

In July 2001, over a thousand Irish Celtic supporters rocked the Citywest Hotel with a night of celebration and once more the Citywest will be the venue for a very special night as the Celtic family in Ireland and further afield gathers for the 13th Annual Charity Dinner of the Association of Irish Celtic Supporters’ Clubs on Saturday 2nd July to mark the 10th anniversary of the Treble and, indeed, the current team’s successes this season.

Now an established and not-to-be-missed fixture on the social calendar of Celtic fans in Ireland and beyond, previous years’ events have been memorable and colourful occasions with a superb atmosphere. They provide the passionate Irish support with a chance to welcome its beloved club back to the land where the glorious Celtic story began and to thank the players for their efforts this season.

Plans are well in hand for a spectacular night with some very special guests and AICSC chairman, Tom Maher, commented:

“We are very much looking forward to another great night of Celtic craic and celebrations in the Citywest.

In particular, it will be great to look back on the fantastic Treble year and to celebrate this season’s success to and we look forward to a memorable gathering of fans from the four corners of Ireland and beyond to celebrate Celtic and its Irish connection.”

Following in the finest Celtic tradition of support for charity, funds raised on the evening will be donated to two very worthy causes, namely the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland and the Waterford Autism Social and Sports Action (WASSA).

Tickets for this event cost €67 for A.I.C.S.C. members or €77 for non-members and can be purchased by forwarding a cheque/draft/postal order made payable to the A.I.C.S.C. to Charity Dinner, PO Box 32, Belfast BT1 1AA.

For further information on tickets, please contact A.I.C.S.C. secretary Michael Kelly at michael.kelly@aicsc.com or call +353 (0) 86 3802738
