    never mind it being hollow,

it'll be horrible because you can see it. They'll be up for it fancying their chances and the fans will not be exactly as enthusiastic. That's why I think it important for to try and get roused for it. Because they'll need the support. It could well be a banana skin if it aint already

Bollocks I could not give a flying * if it's tiddly winks I want Celtic to win ..go on holiday with a win & a cup under your belt :icon_mrgreen:

Rookie Manager gets to two cup finals is still in the hunt for the championship ...what should we do with him ..sack the useless git ...aye that will be right ...give the man a long term deal now ..Lawwell get it done.

FFS any other league & he would be treated like a football ghod ..he is up against a man that has been seen & done it ..he has had the measure of him all season as the head to head shows .. aye he is learning as he goes but he is moulding a team for seasons to come.

Don't know about anyone else but I'd gladly swap this seasons SPL title for a Scottish cup win & the next 4 seasons as SPL champs

Aye we have been spoiled this season again alright :87:... the scottish cup is great when its part of a double or treble, but with the money we have spent & the players we have then this season it will feel like nothing but a consolation prize ie the wooden spoon & * what any fans of other clubs think i hate the lot of them

It's good to win regardless, if its part or the Double or to put this season to bed on a happy note at least. Good to have something to celebrate!

The only thing is if you win it and havent won the League it doesnt have the same significance as the huns arent as bothered at you winning it cause they got the League but getting the League then rubs it in their manky hun faces twice as much.

I fully appreciate that the League is the main prize and the one everyone wants most. I also understand that you, like all of us, must be feeling really gutted after last night.

I would have thought though that considering we haven't lifted ANY trophy for over 2 years now you'd be delighted to get your hands on the Scottish Cup. I know I will be chuffed if we win it. It won't fully compensate for losing the league, if we lose the league, but it will definitely cushion the blow a bit.

I was a fan all through that era too mate & to me this is totally diifrent,,that was a team that hadnt won a trophy in 5 years & lost to raith rovers the year before in the league cup final...we were rebuilding from the ashes of the days of the old board & winning that cup seemed as if we were on the edge of something really special ...of getting back to being the best team in Scotland,,it took us a few more years but eventually we were....

Now this year it will feel like its the only cup we have won in a treble that we shouldve won..

Thats not too say i dont want us to win as of course i do ,, but imo it will have a very hollow ring to it.

I do want us to win it off course but there wont be the same feeling if we do like in other years..like i said in an earlier post it will remind me of our cup win after we lost the league at fir park..no one who was there that day can deny there wasnt the same celebrations ..but maybe that was too do with it being MONs last game..but i have to agree with the poster that it said will give most of our players a much needed taste of lifting a trophy.

Sadly another cup final I won't be at. Need to get season ticket. I would celebrate if we won it but it would just not feel right.

I think the Scottish Cup is quite important to Celtic, it's the only Scottish title we have won more times than them. And they're catching up...:38:

i think if we win the cup all the players should take a * in the cup and leave it lying on the centre spot as a protest against the SFA.

silverware is silverware and at the end of this season i definitely think we as fans deserve it, the team deserves it, and most importantly neil lennon deserves it. i cant imagine why anyone would turn their nose up at a cup final victory! celtic play to win, sure sometimes it doesnt happen that way (ict on wednesday, ross county last year) BUT WE STILL PLAY TO WIN!!! Hail Hail! :50::celt_2::shamrock:

i think a lot of people are hurting still from during the week. we need to think of this season in context:

1st season of a rookie manager and we reach both domestic cup finals, loosing 1 in ET to a lucky goal (that jelavic strike doesnt go in 9 times out of 10 once it hits the post) and yet to play the 2nd. we match rangers in the league and look oncourse to win it up until 1 bad performance away at inverness (not the easiest away in the league!) hands the initiative to rangers.

people however bad the result was during the week this season has been a huge SUCCESS in my eyes. this year was always going to be a transitional year and we had the chance to lift the treble throughout the course of the season. the league is not dead and buried just yet, although i think it will be if rangers take 3 points against hearts, but lest we forget our team was only built this season and we have matched a rangers side who have been playing together for almost 4 seasons.

Never really enjoyed the Scottish cup when the league is blown. Dont want to be a misery about it but the Scottish cup for OF teams when the league is in the bag is a gala day for the title winners but if you have just blown the league its hollows as f*ck

Hopefully its a trasnformation season but I think we have blown an opportunity. Rangers with a new owner, debt paid off and some cash injected in should actually be stronger next season. Also, inot winning the title and not getting CL money will mean less spending and more temptation to sell one of our big players.
