    well, he is better than rodriguez, sears, vaughan, delfounso and wickham and he is just as good as sturridge and welbeck. if stuart pearce has any sense then he should make it into the final squad. i am delighted that he is even in there though since it is not an easy thing to do while playing in the spl.

    It's a bittersweet one this isn't it - I want Hoops to do the best he can, but can see him being a deadly predator for England over the coming years.

    Ideally, I'd like the player to have a rest over the summer, but a good appearance or two in the championship would only increase the player's reputation, confidence and value. So, hope he makes the final squad.
