thank * your not our coach, he has been one of our better players this season, and even on his off days he is better than brown could ever hope to be, its obvious that he needs a rest, but so far this season he has been our best CM

It was already agreed in the match thread that McCourt was woeful tonight. He looked hungover actually !

Anyway I thought that was a poor cut back from Ki. I personally would have smashed it across the face of goal... difficult to defend and any touch will see it go in.

Majstorovic is a poor defender and he played well tonight, so I'm happy to praise him. All I'm doing is commented on a Ki thread about him, in my opinion, not playing well tonight. It's not about looking for a scapegoat.

Thank * indeed, some of the comments about Ki are quite pathetic. Yes he struggled later on but my word if we are taking him out the team and replacing him with a lesser quality player then sad times.

Ki is by far the most technically gifted player since Nakamura and even some folk wanted him left out. Time to drop the backwards Scottish Fitba attitude folks or we will be watching lump it long football for years to come.

No matter how fatigued you are should be able to hit the target from a couple of yards out especially when your picking up 15 k a week minimum and if you can't concentrate shouldn't be on the pitch

thank * you are not our coach based on that assesment . ki has been poor for a long while, compared to how good he can be. the best cm pairing we have is kayal ledley , that is proven . the best CM pairing we have seen otherwise this season has been kayal and wanyama for a few games a few weeks ago. ki is a very talented player , maybe needs a rest . he is very good in a 3 man central midfield , which will be very handy . he needs to rest up i think.

EXACTLY . ki was poor tonight , he looked liek a passenger in the 2nd half , a few sidewasy passes here and there. shoting when the shots werent on, he just wasnt on the same wavelength as the others .

Ki did put Stokes through for the missed 1 on 1. He also put him through on 2 other occasions

Give him a break. He was brain scanned in hospital just over a week ago. Why lenny insists on starting him every single game I don't know. I think he's almost logged the most minutes this season out of every outfield player in Europe. With the amount of central midfield talent we have, why not rotate him? i) Keeps him fresh physically ii) more importantly keeps him hungry mentally, especially if he sees others perform while he's resting.

Ki had 3 defence splitting passes tonight and was playing as a winger for a lot of the game. Was a bit odd. If Stokes had his shooting boots on we'd be raving about his performance.

What is it with Celtic and penalties btw?

:97: ki is not on 15K a week , he played OK tonight, and to drop ki to bring wanyama from defence to midfield , well you would offer Brown 50k a week on that logic, dont know what you have till it gone, i am always amazed at the jip Ki get on here after games , i bet he wish sammy starting sometimes to take the (shoot the player down in ashes) critics we have on here focus from himself .:icon_mrgreen:

Midway through the 2nd half he just gave up playing midfield! Seen Hooper telling him to get back and stop playing beside him:56:

Thought he was poor tonight but he has been ill and doing a lot of travelling so wont be too harsh on him.

There's no doubt he still managed to create, which is almost guaranteed with Ki.

I think that's the reason he's not getting the rest he needs, he's so creative on the ball and our best passer by a country mile. No disrespect to Dunfermline but this was a game where he could have been rested. As has been said, he's recovering from illness, travelling and played loads.

Could have easily had an assist or two still though.

Lennon kept telling him to go up the pitch in the second half mate.

Hopefully people realise how flexible Ki was tonight - played right-midfield, left-midfield then central AM...

2 great passes for Stokes, shame about the pen.

All in all, prob 7/10, not our best player tonight but a good team performance.

Ki was involved in some good through balls. However if there's one negative I'd aim at him is that the midfield as a whole don't seem to press as well for 90mins when he plays. He always appears like he's run himself into the ground after the 70th minute.

Very harsh to brand him as poor tonight. Apart from the penalty miss, he looked good. He would have been praised if Stokes had his shooting boots on.
