Remember that moment yesterday when Samaras was running with the ball and all he had to do was pass to Stokes, and it was a goal? But no, he blazed it over the bar, and if he'd had 100 tries he wouldn't have scored once.

To me, that was worse than the penalty miss. It sums up everything wrong with Samaras. He has almost NO vision, and is one of the most mentally slow footballers I've ever seen. I am convinced that he didn't even look up and see Stokes, who would have been one-on-one. Everyone in the ground could see that pass, but everyone knew what he was going to do.

I was disgusted after that, and I feel worse about that than the penalty. I'm sure people will defend him and say he's a scapegoat, but he will never change.

Still had a better game than Hooper, who also blasted one wildly over the bar, disgusted with him too?

No, because Hooper would have passed if Stokes had been in a position to score a sitter. Obviously.

To all the people saying Stokes should have started ahead of Sammy. Remember Stokes against Rangers in the first Old Firm game of the season? He didn't exactly have a great game. Sammy's proved from the 2-0 and 3-0 games that he can torment Rangers silly so there's a good reason why Lenny picked him. Stop getting on Sammy's back people and just support the guy!

    Yes, obviously.

Or you know, he could have done exactly the same thing as Samaras and skied it.

Or maybe gone himself and scored a screamer.

Would he have even gotten into the position Samaras was in to have to make the decision?

    All ifs and buts.

I thought that too, but I think Neil played the team he thought was less likely to lose, rather than going for the out and out victory. It was a gamble and he got it right.

To be fair if you asked me before the game I would have been happy with the goalless draw, and we got it.

Maybe, just maybe, Neil got it right this time and I was wrong. Maybe he played for what he got, and could easily have gotten all three points.

Maybe, just maybe, he was right and I was wrong.

Can't believe i didn't notice it was such an easy chance for stokes.

    Hang sammy, hang him high:rolleyes:

So when sammy goes (or is hung ) who will be the scapegoat then:87:

It was very annoying and the pass to stokes seemed so obvious. but i don't see the point in continually criticising the guy.
