Undoubtedly we have a great chance to win the league, win 5 games and you're championsbut we've fell so many times at the final hurdle I can't help but think it may happen again, and it isn't as if we have 'easy' fixtures we have tough demanding games that we coul easily drop points in, yes if we play to our maximum we should win every game. And if the players aren't motivated for this they will never be.

I am confident in winning the league as we have a good, strong team but was just thinking this and wanted others views on it, (yes I know I may get slaughtered)

We have dropped some stupid points this season, particularly in December. This said however I have full faith that we can win the games we have to and win this league.

There's a certain irony to yesterday's result, if we got the 3 points i think many of us would've thought we were home and dry but as it is i think the mood is quiet optimisim.

Well what do you want us to be? Less confident?

We need to be confident in the run in! We have great players great manager who are all confident, why shouldn't the fans?

Its in our own hands now but theres 5 long hard games ahead but if we play as we can we will do it.

My only doubt is that the huns are more luckier than they are good.

It's ours to lose. Like I said in another thread, Rangers do not matter to us anymore. Even if they go out and win all of their remaining games, as long as we do the same, we win the title.

Easier said than done I know, but you can't help feeling confident when you know how close it is. The away games are going to be the nail biters. I'm hoping we can safely negotiate the two home games against Dundee United and Motherwell.

Thing is, we don't need to pay any attention to the scum's results.

We know that if we can win our 5 remaining games, or even draw one and win the rest then the league is ours.

    I'm not picky.
I wouldn't say we were TOO confident but I would say that we are confident enough to go on and win the league. The confidence surely has to be there and I'm sure Lenny is doing a job of keeping the players feet on the ground. Each game has to be treated really like a cup final (not the CIS one though :icon_mrgreen:) - go out there and win them AND we don't have to worry about what happens elsewhere as the title is ours for the taking.

It's the confidence that brings the results in and the players will know that if they keep playing the way they are then the league is title is ours.

All the pressure from the media etc seems to be aimed at us as usual, no one has even mentioned the fact the huns could slip up, they haven't been playing that well in the last few weeks so they may easily drop a cpl of points before the seasons out.
With the depth of squad i am confident we can win all our remaining games, will feel a whole lot better when we win at inverness and when you look at the table we are there at the top leading by 2pts, then the pressure will really be on the huns!!!!

What I am most confident in is Neil Lennons ability to galvanise this group of players. They undoubtedly want to play for both him and us and they seem totally focused on the job in hand, a statement that couldn't have been made under Tony Mowbray's leadership. So for me, that's the crucial point, no one can say for certain how the rest of the season will pan out for us or the huns but I am certain that Lenny will keep them focused and determined to see the job through in a professional manner.

Good job we play in the SPL then isn't it. This team are more than capable of winning this league and now that they've been together a year I think we could do reasonably well in Europe this year.

I think if we can get 6 points from (h) dundee utd and (a) ICT then we can still win the league with a draw at the rangers reserves, rangers still need to win games aswell! I can see a banana skin for them on saturday lunchtime away to motherwell, now im not expecting any favours from stuart mccoll but givin the sate of the pitch and the result against hearts, ypu'd think motherwell wouod give them a game, if rangers lose and we beat utd then we go 5 clear with a win in inverness. I am not over confodent but i have confidence and belief in celtic and neil lennon, we have the better team, we have the fight..come five weeks from now, we'll have the title ( hopefully :) )

I am not overly confident, seen things go wrong too often. However all of our games are winnable and it is in our own hands. We must forget about Rangers, let them do what they will do and win all of our remaining games. If they drop points that is a bonus.

Bearing in mind that we can probably afford a draw in there because of our superior goal difference.

    Utter pish sir.

Mid Championship? Aye alright. We signed two of that leagues best players in Hooper and Ledley for starters.

We drew with the Huns, on their own turf to make us unbeaten at that swamp for the season.

I bet you didnt come out with that sort of negativity before yesterdays game.

People forget we have won a large majority of games, scoring 100 goals this season. The huns however have also won games, and that is the only reason we have not cantered to the league.
