Cast your minds back 6 years ago, going into the final Glasgow Derby of season at Ibrox knowing a win would put us 5 points clear with 4 games to play!!Goals from Petrov & Bellamy give us a 2-1 win!!!Championees we were all singing that day!!!We all know what happened next!!!
This term were in a very similar position,so even dho I'm confident about Sunday,I still think were capable of dropping silly points in other games!!
Hopefully Neil & Thommo remind this squad of what happened in the 04/05 season and we don't get a repeat, don't think I could handle another day like Fir Park!!!

everyone knows it doesn't guarantee us the league?

but it certainly puts us in a very strong position.

They shouldn't even be talking about that day. They should be revving them up for now.

They'll never let them get ahead of themselves I wouldn't worry

    one game at a time.

i doubt anyone will be celebrating the title on sunday, considering we'll still have 5 difficult games.

Dont remind me of that final day , I can remember it so well , all the people in the pub i was in were gobsmacked , mouths wide open , it still hurts to this day

but I believe this team has the determination to kick on and win it

gotta learn to forget about that day in my opinion

though, I wasn't there so i can only give the opinion based on kicking on now, it may be different for those who seen it in the flesh

Its one game at a time for us. The Derby games rarely mean the difference between winning and losing the title. It is the * points dropped against ICT, Killie and Dundee Utd that might be the difference. A win sunday will give us massive * swelling bragging rights, and a little cushion in regards of points. A defeat and the title is no longer in our own hands, but doesnt mean we cant win it.

Still a number of games to be played but a win on sunday would put us firmly in the driving seat, what happened before is in the past this is Lenny's team :shamrock:

I'm sure Lenny will keep the team completely focused on the remaining games even if we win emphatically on sunday. He knows how much is at stake and how important it is to play as well as we can and try as hard as we can until the full time whistle is blown against motherwell on the last day of the season.

If we win on Sunday then we will have one hand on the SPL trophy, IMO. It will be coming home :celt_2:

It won't guarantee the title but imo whoever wins on Sunday will go on to win the title

No it dont mean we have won the spl if we win on sunday....but it makes it * harder for them to win it if we do beat them on sun.

I think we will win on sun , we'll hopefully but then we will drop some points again to give them "*" a sniff again . My nerves are * shattered , its the only thing i have on my mind all week and will be till teh end of the season, fells great thou.

Yeah, it doesn't guarantee it but the nerves of not having it in our own hands is something I don't even want to think about just now.

it was a similar scenario when the huns were going for ten in a row.we went to ibrox and lost the last OF game of the season and the huns went top on goal difference-game over some said, next week that impartial gentleman bobby tait refereed his last rangers game(by request)and as it was 0-0 at the time ,saw fit to add 7 mins of injury time-and killie scored!halle * lujah!just goes to show it aint over til ...etc etc.
