So hard to choose between Kayal and Izzy but in the end i went for Kayal. The man is immense. It looks like Izzy is running away with it here though!

    Who voted McCourt? Haha

Kayal for me. He is genuinely the most exciting player, I've papped eyes on at Parkhead since Henke. Two different players entirely, I know, but both possess a special talent, and Kayal, I think will hit the same lights Henke did for us. I think he has been a brilliant signing for us, and I remember Davie Hay, saying on radio, just before Kayal's debut at Parkhead, that this Israeli guy, was something special, and Davie, as usual you can still spot a player. Did you see him the day he was made capitan, how proud he was, did you see him snarling in the faces of Loovens, and Mulgrew, when they ballsed one up near the end of the game. No harm to you, wee Broony, I want you in my team for every game, but when this guy Kayal fully picks up our lingo, he is a cert to be our Capitan. I've confidence that if we make this wee man our IDOL, and hold this guy in the same esteem as we did Henke, he will do a Larsson, and enjoy his best footballing years in a green and white jersey. Lets build that bond with Kayal now. Izzy, best left back we have had in many years, absolutely adore his committment, his control, his pace, and of course the guy's natural talent. This was a right decision to make, ended up Kayal, but deffinately wanting to see both at Parkhead, for many years to come.

Charlie Mulgrew, simply because he was written off by alot of people early on in the season after quite a bad game against Braga, but he didnt let it affect him and has now come in at centre-back and really made the position his own with a string of great performances

Ledley for me without a doubt :50: i've been singing his praises all season, feel its a shame that its only now people are starting to sit up and take notice of how good he has been. He's consistent, barely puts a foot wrong and now he's starting to score goals!

izzy IMO, kayal and ledly up there aswell. however i think because izzy played a few more games than kayal then just pips it over him a ledly!

however its a joy that we have so many good players to choose from, testment to lennys transfer targets!

Hooper, his class up front has been unreal and shows the true colours of a top striker. His runs and control of the ball are brilliant, top mentality, can make * of experienced defenders (weir LOL), and he is still only 23 and came from a championship side.

Very close though, could have easily went for kayal or izzaguire. They have been brilliant signings and have had a huge impact not only on the field but also the fans. This time last year it was a worry about the lack of spectators to the games, its the class the new players have brought to the field and Lennon heading the campaign with his passion that has brought the thunder back, so its really hard to choose who is best.

One thing I am sure of, wee James Forrest gets my vote for young player of the season. If we had more young players like that coming through the youth squad makings signings would be a thing of the past :icon_mrgreen:

izzy - humble, has a great attitude, quality player, loads of technical skill, and he was a complete surprise.

Izzy for me, an absolute revelation and has solved a long-running problem position. Just hope we can hang on to him.

I reckon had Kayal avoided injury this would have been a lot closer though.
