So let me get this straight, your bycoting Scotland cos huns support Scotland?? The cheek of them, imagine supporting they're own country, would you rather they supported N.Ireland or England?? One of the best things about suppoprting Scotland is cheering with my hun mates (as well as Jambos, Hibees, Dons and all the rest for that matter), that my deluded friend is the point!

With regard to the selection of players, the following played for Scotland (and Celtic) and are all in the Scotland Hall of Fame:
Kenny Dalglish - 102 Caps (most capped player of all time)
    Paul McStay - 76 Caps
    Danny McGrain - 62 Caps
    Roy Aitken - 57 Caps

While I agree with you that Jinky (in my opinion the greatest Scotsman ever to kick a ball) & Co certainly merited more caps, John Greig & Jim Baxter never made it into the hall of fame either. Your arguement on that one really is * poor. And good Scotland team can only be good for Celtic afterall, both in terms of player experience and exposure of Scotland and the Scottish game.

Normally I find distain of footballers in blue shirts a highly commendable trait but this occasion no. When it comes to domestic matters then it's THEM and US, but when it comes to internationals then it should just be US. Don't get me wrong, my own hatred for Barry Ferguson and the rest of his Ibrox team mates is considerable (wouldn't * on the * dirty * if they were on fire), if however they're wearing a Scotland top then I'll support them all the way.

While I would happily give my left leg to see Celtic win a European title, i'd give both legs to see Scotland lift a world cup. Though admittedly i doubt Walter will have me ordering my wheelchair any time, soon.

If a Jakey, ned, *, moron like Barry can be man enough to support his country, then so the * can I. If you idiots however can't do the same, then * you, we're better off without you supporting OUR (other) team.

  8. welcome to talkceltic, hope you stay and post!

i think a big reason for a lot of tic fans boycotting scotland is coz of the 70's when players like jinky johnstone and other legends struggled to get a game apparently coz they were catholic in a protestand scotland country!

Agree with your point totally. And think we should rise above this type of small mindedness and encourage others to do so too!!

    welcome to the site Tonto

it seems to me the reason all other supporters in scotland hate the OF so much is cos both clubs have fans that don't support their country. On the other hand i see peoples point for not supporting them and i suppose it boils down to personal preferance.

For me supporting my country comes before anything but thats a lot less complicated over here. Just can't see why "the * irish" get the blame for divided loyalties in scotland.
