They caught on to that in the final when Sammi was out wide and Hooper was frozen out the game ,get Stokes and Hooper playing together running at the Central Defenders ,,different ball game altogether.

Let's not forget everything for us in this game depends on whether Sammy (should he play) turns up because when he was disgraceful in the final and Hooper was left stranded alone and couldn't do anything, however Stokes sometimes doesn't turn up and is a complete waste of space, personally i would go with the same as the 3-0 game, but also we shouldn't take the final too much into account because let's not forget, even though they were better than us, they won with two scrappy easily preventable goals so as long as our attack is on form, we will have it in the bag but as people are saying, let's worry about this after the Killie game :50:

+1 Sammy out Stokes in!!! We shouldn't mess with the squad by bringing Maloney and Forrest in it messes with the team too much.

i am convinced that their defence could not cope with the hooper-stokes partnership. get them together and go with commons ledley kayal and brown in midfield.

We're too good to get involved with them and their antics. Unlike previous seasons where we've let them get the bites they were after. I've no doubt Naismith, McCulloch and Lafferty will turn it on again. For this reason, celts have to stand up to it but do it in the way we've had success against them this season. By out playing them. Simply, out-playing them.

Sammy had a good game in the 2-2 new year game but has not impressed scince. It's so frustrating seeing our top goalscorer on the bench and that long haired donkey out there chasing his tail. I'm sorry but it's true.

Edit: I'd say drop ki aswel.

I like the look of that, win the midfield & we will win the game,If its 4-4-2 i would drop ki for stokes

Normally not, but we need to keep Walter and his team on their toes. Stokes and Hooper are a must. I'm deeply worried about how a game would go without the pair.

    Forster

    Wilson Majstorovic Mulgrew Izaguirre

    Brown Kayal Ledley Commons

    Hooper Stokes

    Subs:

    Zaluska.
    Ljungberg.
    Ki.
    McCourt.
    Samaras.
    Rogne.
    Forrest.

I think we should go 4-4-2 against them this time round. I know we went 4-5-1 the last time we played them at Greyskull, but it's time to adopt a more positive approach and include Stokesy this time.

The team basically picks itself, as you can see above. All the regulars are in there, not to mention all of our strongest players.

I think the cup final will have given Lenny food for thought, for me in many respects this game is a cup final in itself, the surprise element of big Sammy has lost it's pazzaz, time to unleash H & S, the title won't come to us we need to go and win it .........:shamrock:

Plenty options going forward & we will be well protected at the back as well, This Old Firm is going to be really hard with it being Walter Smith's last Old Firm, So we will have to be patient in this one, but with that line up I think we can get something from the game

IMO we should play stokes and hoops up front Samaras has done absolutely * all since that game at new year,he was absolute pish at Perth on tuesday hey even Murphy had abetter game than him.Stokes and Hooper play together extremely well and the amount of goals scored between them merits the two of them starting.I am not a lover of Stokes but you just cant argue with his scoring record. He deserves a chance.I would keep Samaras on the bench and bring him on if things arent working out.I think the scum will be stronger with Mcculloch back the * kicks anything that moves so our midfieid must stand up and be counted. It must be ..Brown,Kayal ,Ledley and Commons.Back four it should be...Wilson,Rogne,Mulgrew,and Izzy, with Forster in goal. Please Lenny keep that big Glenda away from the starting line up,as the sight of him on the park would put me and thousands of others on a downer before a baw is kicked

An early goal is vital. The longer the game goes without us scoring the more confidence they get as they are boring * and will play for the draw as per usual.

This is the side that we must play against them. It is our strongest side and the one that has played the best football all season. We have destroyed teams with this side yet there is still debate.

The game against the huns in January was selected more by accident than design. Hooper was injured and Neil gambled by playing Sammy up top. Since then Samaras has been pretty hopeless. Spare me the "gives us a different option" or "works his socks off" its all *.

He cant score and he doesnt link up. The R*****s team is there for the taking and we need to be brave to beat them. Stick out our best side and there will be no "what if's" afterwards.

No Ki, No Sammy, No Loovens and def No Murphy.

It really should be a no brainer. I cant understand why anyone would want anything different.

We go for it, play 4-4-2 and look to end the huns hopes of 3IAR there and then.
