i don't know whay all these threads are starting to emerge, we have a great squad, cha's decent, and will have to fight for place, which he said he is ready to do, as shall every other player

 

exactly. we have a good squad, and with cha here, there's a lot more competition for the position, making the likes of wilson work harder and achieving their high potential.

having a squad our size works fantastically for us. we're top of the table, though not by much, but the huns' miniscule squad WILL cause them to drop more points, where our squad can cope with any injuries.

don't worry, we've got this.

 

i hate this "we only sign them cause they sell shirts" *, Cha was a free transfer and had a good world cup, he was even mentioned in the player suggestions thread, if he was european no-one would care that we signed him, but cause hes asian, we obviously signed him to sell shirts, what bollocks!

he's been a decent contributor in our team, he sometimes looks a little shaky at the back, but hasnt made any mistakes that have cost us, his pace lets him cover the CB's well aswell as make him a threat up the line, and he puts in some good crosses, that might be converted if stokes or hooper could head it(we need a target man)

overall i think this is a stupid thread as he is a good player to have in our squad

Who would pay money for him at his age and with his lack of technical ability? He'll be here until his contract ends - not a bad thing because he has great pace and is a very decent squad player.

I don't love the player either, but I don't think he needs sold. Not unless there's another RB ready to slide in.

I am fascinated to see what happens with Hinkel. With Wilson stepping up this season, if he'd stay on it would give us great depth, as I believe he'd be able to play on the wing in spots as well. Hinkel is the best crosser we have in the squad, currently.

ki as well - i dont know about anyone else but ive liked ki since the start - his free kicks aint naka yet - but everytime he is on id let ki take the kick

the asian markets are the least tapped still today in footy - and yeah thats partly cos the asian market is pish! maybe as bad as the soccer america market - north america that is not south

but have a look around - park at man u - lee at bolton

lot of good players out there and keeping our hand in is wise

cha du ri is not too bad at all reminds me a tad of ehhh thingy - agathe! great wee worker he was - lots o effort out him - final ball a bit pish but won some good corners and was a worker

 

The problem is not with cha, it is with fans thinking he is a nautral RB, in every team he has played for before he came to glasgow he played right mid or right wing back, next year if we play 5 at the back in europe I would like to see cha in front of Wilson, together they could not only do a great job of covering in defense, but they are both immense going forward

 

we are the famous glasgow celtic as the song goes faithful through and through we are building a team that has the potential to go a long way and i believe on the way to win the league let neil be allowed to build on his current squad and make us the force we where let the others buy and sell like asda we are a family tiocfaidarla

 

I wouldn't say Wilson was immense going forward. I think that was the weakest area of his game but he's certainly improved though. I would still have Wilson starting at RB before Cha every time.

As you say, Cha isn't really a natural right-back. Hopefully Cha can improve defensively, otherwise I wouldn't be starting him regularly at right-back. I'm still not convinced by Cha, I think he's decent back up as a right-back or can play RM in the role Brown is currently playing.

Good squad player for me, no need to sell him.

Hes got his attributes, mainly pace, abit clumsy when it comes to the close quarters stuff but he gives us a different, more offensive option to wilson whos more of a solid workhorse type, id keep him not only cause he gives us variety but tbh he'll be doin our image abroad some favours aswell, hes a big name in korea due to his dad being a legend over there.

Cha is *. I don't want to see him leave he hasn't done anything wrong, he scored that goal against st johnstone then went away to the asia cup, comes back gets injured but now wilson has all this hype it seems that Cha is pish? Never sell Cha make him become a celtic legend (or because i have him on the back of my home top) i would be truely gutted if he went.

 

I have to admit I'm not a fan of Cha either but at the same time he is cover. Wilson has had horrendous injury problems, he is my first choice right back without a doubt but it still worries me if he can stay fit. I know Hinkel is back training but nobody knows if he will ever reach the form he has done in the past. I hope he does and I believe if we have both Wilson and Hinkel fit then we could sell Cha.
