keano, is good but that's only when he wants acceptable wages.
I dunno how he think about Celtic, but if he is real tim who knows Celtic's financial status, then he accept little money to play.

I believe if you offer him that, he wouldn't come at all.

Just wished Keane would come out and say Listen ppl I want to play for Celtic+I don't need the Money but it helps,Personally i think hes holding out for a very good wage for him to get 80,000 grand a week is a lot so bhoys how much would our Board pay him 20,000 or 25,000 i think thats what we could offer him(if the bhoys have that!)and if a lot of Premiership clubs want him Blackburn to me would be favorites they have lots of Money+Mark-Hughes is the Manager and we all know were Craig Bellamy Joined so money not a opinion for Blackburn also Bolton want him to but even if Roy Keane stayed in the premiership he wouldn't get any other trophies or medals with any of the clubs that want him only the bhoys could do that

surely if keane was such a big celtic fan - he would have joined 3 years ago.. [at a time when he could do something for the club..]

3 years ago.. before signing his contact at man utd, keane talked about joining celtic.. back then he had spoken out about man utds poor performances.. but he got a deal at man utd..

but this time round gets the door after talking out about the club.

now he talks about joining celtic... as he has nowhere else to go and/or using celtic as a * to get a better deal elsewhere (as mentioned above)..

I agree with you there mate, thats what i've been saying. He was going to come to Celtic as he said he always wanted to, but he signed on with United again and now he wants to come to Celtic? Thats what ticked me off about him.

The guy is a *. He fights in pubs in manchester, He causes numerous problems for his own team adn he has come to us cap in hand as a last resort.

Some people on here astound me. They think Keanes merchandising will pay his wages!

He is no David Beckham. Nakamura will make us more in merchandising. He sells shirts in a country that has never bought celtic shirts. Will Keane do this. Call me a cynic but I think we already sell one or two shirts in Keanes Homeland.

Heres a brief sum for those of us that have never worked in retail. If the average profit on a Keane shirt is £25, Then 1000 shirts will pay one weeks wages. Assuming the money grabbing git would take £25K, Which is very unlikely. Plus the fact that there would never be as much as £25 profit on each shirt.

And we are talking extra shirts here, ones that people wouldn't normaly buy, if people are just buying a Keane shirt as an alternative to another celtic item then no extra revenue would be generated.

The guy would destroy our beloved club! This would be as bad as the tories winning the general election!!!

Think about what you wish for......

Ash don't be too harsh remember he's a Celtic Fan like us mate and you never know he might just make all The Difference in The Champions league next season with his vast experience as a ball-winner and defensive Midfielder, and don't forget the way he can pass a ball there's not many better, and I heard he's willing to take a drastic wage cut so he deserves Credit for that.

I suppose that if we were ever to get a player like him then it would be best to get him free.

It's just annoying that he has come so late when he has no other choice.

It would be like fancying a girl for years, and she knows. She tells you she wants to * you but keeps putting it off. In between she is * a younger, better looking more succesful guy, with a nice wedge of money in his pocket. When he gives her the elbow she's stripped off and in your bed before you can say "Dirty slapper".

    Would you still want her?

The answer.....Exactly how good in be is she????? haha.

Look, if and when he signs for celtic, I'll be the first * with Keane on the back of my shirt. I support the hoops through and through. Till the bitter end. And unlike alot of people I trust GS 100%. My only concern is whether its his decision or not, if so then Great.

Sorry if I come across harsh, like you i'm a lover not a hater!

a drastic wage cut.... if he is a celtic supporter - a big as fan as they say he is.. surely money wouldnt be an issue.. he should be on his knees to play for the club.

like any fan - they would clean everyones boots, and even mop the floor to play for celtic...

today - we hear of lennon investing in the club... before that o'neill invested 1 million in the club a few years back...

if keane comes... he'll come with nothing but demands.

Keane is an arrogant * who got sacked from Man U
He turned against his country in the World Cup
    He's always injured
He's a frequent red card recipient

    Oh yeah lets sign him

    Give him what he wants

Better sign that player from Ajax than spend a lot of Money on wages for a 34-years old man and the player from Ajax is only 23 and we could get him in January but we would need to pay his club a fee but if we wait till Summer if he wanted to he could sign for the bhoys on a free transfer-----Steven Pinner

The benifit of the doubt is something you give a first time offender who may be missunderstood, wrongly accused or maybe mislead. Keane is a well know hot head and an * hole and i for one dont like him. We all know he departed United with a chip on his shoulder, probs because for once he didnt get his own way. I dont want him coming to Celtic and disrupting the dressing room by * his mark all over the place.

He will stick his fat lip out like he did at united and he did for his own country... and he will do it again at Celtic.

Keane * off... is it really worth the hassle for a season of nobness?

Is this the same Roy Keane who had a lot to do with Liam Miller leaving to go to Man. Utd. Some Celtic fan that is. Miller showed very little loyalty to this club either after they stuck by him through some bad injuries.

The same Roy Keane then has a dig at the same player through MUTV do we really want this kind of person at the club?. Can it do anything but harm?.

Can you see Sutton, Hartson, Lennon etc being happy to play for peanuts while this loose cannon, often injured guy walks of with a small fortune?
