Hooper was poor today, didn't seem to offer a threat at all and struggled to link with Samaras and the midfield. He was poor against Inverness on Wednesday too. Did anyone notice anything that suggests he's unfit or is it just a run of bad form?

I'm also wondering, could it be physical tiredness from playing so many games? Or am I just talking *? I don't know. He seemed full of energy and confidence just a few weeks ago.

Ye I noticed that as well about Hooper today & on Wednesday against Inverness, also Kayal didn't seem himself either, he is usually getting stuck in & is our power house in the midfield, he won the ball & had a few good runs & passes, but not his usual fiesty self so hmm.. Maybe the side needs a rest? International break now, so hopefully when the guys come back we can bounce back with a win against Caley in the SPL, We need to pick ourselves up the season isn't over, the Treble is but the League & Scottish Cup isnt..

Don't know if its tiredness or whether he's carrying an injury but he hasn't looked fit the past 2 games, he'll get a rest here over the international break and hopefully we'll see him back to his best when club football resumes.

I find it hard to believe that he's tired. I just think it's a sticky patch. He'll be back to his best soon.

He was carrying a knock and would've missed the Caley game if it had been played on Saturday. Maybe he hasn't quite shaken it off.

Didnt get any joy against Inverness on Wednesday, was hoping he was saving it for yesterday but it was probably his poorest performance in a Celtic shirt. :54: Hopefully he's back to his best after this break.

He's been very poor in the last two games. Either he needs a rest or Samaras and Hooper are not capable of playing with each other, lets see how Hooper does when the usual partnership of Stokes and Hooper is starting again.

Had the ICT Cup game gone ahead last weekend asa originally scheduled, he would've missed it because of a knock, so I dare say that considering the evidence of midweek & again today, that he may've come back not quite 100%.

Well hes had 2 injuries this season and is still got a great goal tally, but if you think about it he wont be used to playin on all fronts, dont think scunthorpe are regularly involved in the carling cup or the fa until christmas. So maybe its the amount of games and the countless derbys were hes had some crackers, he proboably just needs a break. A bet he ragin he got a call up hel be canceling the holiday tae the caribean :56:.
Try telling ma burd hes no fit n shel have you. :47:

i think he's just jaded tbh 30-40 SPL matches is probably like 80 EFL matches lol such is the pace of our game.

I also think he struggles to partner Sammi up front, looks to me like hes settled with Stokes and finds if hard to partner with the big man.

I don't know if he's unfit or not but he's the one guy i thought would've ran them ragged at the back, his touch and distribution was very poor.

Tbh he has looked unfit recently. I can't imagine he's being allowed to play whilst carrying an injury so i guess it's a dip in form. He'll bounce back though. To me it almost looks like a dip in confidence too. He's not looked as confident on the ball and his movement has been erratic.

It could well be he's not suitable to play along side sammy. If thats the case then they definitely need to get him playing along with stokes again and keep sammy for an impact player. Id rather see 2 strikers in tune with each other than 2 who's style of play appears to clash.

The full team looked unfit today, bad performances from everyone and that cant happen again...The kick up the * they need and to think they can just turn up and win games is something they need to get out their heads....

Hoops has been poor recently. I actualy think he says to much to the press instead of doing his talking on the pitch. We didnt have the usual energy yesterday, dont know what is wrong but Hoops was def not his usual self.

Gary Hooper was poor yesterday but every player has a poor game now and again.

The man I feel sorry for is Anthony Stokes. I thought Gary Hooper and Samantha were both * yesterday and yet Stokes(our top goalscorer this season) still never got brought on.

As much as I love Neil Lennon I think it's * pish the way he is treating Anthony Stokes when it comes to Old Firm matches, he is just not giving Stokes a chance.
