From who ,,Stokes himself who has'nt said anything or his Father who is backing his son in this as you do.

If Stokes said this thats a different ball game but also take into consideration where it came from.

Another thing with Stokes he has a history of a very bad attitude he might have got let off with this off his managers in the past he will not here if the lad and his dad wants him to go then off you go lad will be the biggest mistake of your life if you walk out on the side your meant to love and want to play for .

I could not give a monkeys if the lad has scored etc amount of goals he was given a chance in the old firm early on in the season and blew it he should have been sent off this will be playing on lennys mind knows Stokes attitude and can see he is not right for games with the Huns that is up to Lennon that is what he get's paid for .

Another point do you think if we had won today Stokes would spit the dummy out would he * he would be out there giving it the big i am .

His dad is doing stokes no favours by talking to the press about him wanting out.

Your talking as if Stokes has done a wrong ,has he ? His Dad has done all the talking in that and he seems to be a mouth ,Stokes could knock this on the head asap but he does'nt need to explain himself to anyone unless he has done a wrong ,I feel personally he has been shat on today when Celtic needed a goal he was warming up only to see Loovens coming on for Rogne ,when we need a goal ?

Stokes is the top scorer in Scotland and is probaly involved in the best partnership in the SPL with Hooper ,i would be a bit * aswell sitting that game out but he has'nt done anything wrong that we know about and if i was going to ask anyone a question it would be aimed at Lennon asking him why he left there top man on the bench when Celtic were behind .

If he's going about saying things like this he can * off as far as I'm concerned. There is no way his Dad/agent would be talking to The Sun without his knowing.

He thought he was too good for Celtic before and regretted it, let him do the same again, there's plenty of people left Celtic thinking they were moving on to better things that would advise him against it though, his old team mate Liam Miller for one.

Neil Lennon picks the team, not Anthony Stokes and his Dad.

I agree with you about it must be frustrating, but thats life and i was frustrated stokes didnt come on but its ok to think that and feel that way.
But if its your son, then you dnt go to the papers or be stupid enough to say it infront of untrustworthy characters, its not going to help him. His dad seems to be a plum putting tht banner up was his choice fair dos but did he not think of the drawbacks that anthony will face in this bigot ridden city.

Be gutted if he left. Really would. Him and Hooper have the making of a great front two for Celtic for years to come. I just didn't understand why he didn't get on when we needed a goal. It was clear it wasn't going to come from Sammy.

I did think it was stupid leaving him out of the final. But I don't know if this is true (remember folks it is The Sun, and for all those outside of Scotland who are unfimiliar that basically amounts to written diiaherrea), keep in mind Stokes is celtic through and through - he said it was his childhood dream to put on the hoops. I doubt he will leave next season, if he does - * him, we don't want uncommitted players.

I was raging that Stokes never got on yesterday. He's our top goal-scorer, he has developed a very good understanding with Hooper and he has racked up a lot of assists as well.

It seems nothing has gone on behind the scenes, I thought that may have been the reason he was left out but Stokes wouldn't be so angry because he would understand the reasoning. I'm not sure why Lennon didn't use our top goal-scorer when we were desperate for a goal.

His dad should never have blabbed to the press though, Stokes has every right to ask questions about his future and role at the club and that's exactly what he should have done.

I agree with his Dad. He deserved to at least get on the pitch today. He needs more gametime.

However, his dad needs to learn to shush his mouth. Talking to the press like this does him and his son no favours at all. Idiot.

    Agreed mate.

Stokes can definetely feel agrieved at not getting any game time yesterday.

His dad can also feel agrieved, but should shut his * mouth......*!

The story contradicts itself, it says Stokes has asked for a transfer under the title but in the story it says that its just his dad saying he should ask for one. Still this is nothing compared to Bill leckies bigoted dribble in the same rag, if that sewar rat tried to print that kind of crap here he would be arrested for hate crimes

Stokes should have come on at some point. Sammy was a lot better than Hooper. I would have taken Hooper off and put Stokes on as we didnt look like scoring. Just dont know what went wrong yesterday.
