Suprised no one else has seen this, i have to say if he left i wouldnt blame him, but imo if he does Celtic should leave the SPL and join another league. This has just gone too far, we cant have a manager who is a Celtic fan and an irish catholic is that the * rules now? SFA and the other clubs are showing no support whatsoever, in fact they are adding more worries to him and he is already stressed to the max, the police have just reacted now and probably wouldnt have if they werent forced to by us. Only in Scotland :31::31::47: YNWA Neil :shamrock:

Just said the exact same in another thread mate, and even if we cant join another league then so be it, but i would still refuse to play in Scotland if Lennon has to leave due to threats

Stop talking * the Spl can not do anything about this what do you want them to do ?

Anything do with security for Lennon has to come from Celtic they pay his contract and must protect him its the same with Liverpool ,Man utd etc in England now pay for security to watch the players homes while they are away in europe etc .

Once again lets blame the spl getting boring now .

They could at least show some support, and stupid little arseholes trying to cause trouble to players/managers in England is different from a terrorist orginisation who may plan on killing him fs.

Why have rankers not come out and condemned all these threats to NL ? And why have no journalist gone down the road of asking this question ?are they content to sit back and watch our manager go through this?

If they wanted him dead he would be its threats does not make it right or wrong but no one deserves this specially with his family being in it too , just because there has been no support in the press etc does not mean there will not have been behind doors.

When does a threat become more than a threat ? When he is killed?

I agree with many sentiments. While we cannot "blame the SFA or the SPL," I would at least expect them to provide a united front condemning these actions. That's what would happen over here in the US. If someone decided they didn't like the coach of some NFL team because he was black and Muslim, regardless of how anyone else felt about that, the whole league would present a united front roundly condemning the threats publicly. The silence of the other Scottish teams is deafening when it comes to these atrocities. And remember, it's not just NL. Ledley's been threatened and I guarantee you Kayal will be at some point. It's just ridiculous.

It was in the news of the world today I seen it earlier. If it is the case I don't think anyone would blame him for this. He loves Celtic through and through but his family's safety must come first. It's just so sad to see that these idiots could win.

Hope it doesn't happen, but I wouldn't blame him and will fully support him in any decision he decides to make.
I blame the police for not coming down hard enough on these *, the media for stirring it up and of course the huns for the fact that it's their fans making the threats, they have failed to condemn them, and because of the years of sectarianism that has been bred through the very heart of the club.

I do think it is high time Smith or Mccoist came out and spoke up against these bstds surely rankers would not want to be associated with vermin like that

The silence from all that are not Celtic is deafening.
The media, et al, are still only interested in crucifying Lennon in the papers with stupid * stories of how he needs to calm down, why is he such a bam? It's no wonder Lennon is stressing out at points with these * scavangers picking at him at every opertunity.
He's getting worse treatment than the * scum that are putting him through this

This article is entitled Sunday gossip and that is what it is. The medias attempts to do the huns work and get rid of Lenny is shameful. Any story on the departure of Neil Lennon should come with a quote from the man himself. All these articles on Lenny leaving and still no quote!!

I honestly think I would cry if he was forced out of Scotland. Lennon is more than just a manager to me, he is a hero and an inspiration.

Then I would move on from grieving and be livid :47:

    Quite rightly so.

If he wasn't the type of man that he is he'd have walked away already. It takes a * of a lot of guts for him to stand up to the * he's taken over the years, and as much as he loves Celtic there may come a time where it's just not worth the hassle any more over what is essentially just a game of football.

I agree with the majority that there's an unnerving silence about the whole situation. I don't expect people/authorities to put a stop to it just like that, but at the very least we should be seeing a lot more vocal support for him.
