like all, i would love to see big artur donning our number 1 shirt again, given is getting on a bit and i would love for him to be here but i suppose it would be in the short term, forster is supposedly wanted back down toon, westwood is a cracking keeper, i also think big cervi should be given a chance

i've never felt that comfortable with Forster in goal. i think it's the weakest position in our team. you know what you do with the weakest part of the team? you strengthen. Given please.

    Here's my preference,
    (1) Boruc, would always welcome our best ever goalie back.
    (2) Westwood, brilliant young keeper, and Celtic fan too
(3)Scmeichel, always admired this guys abilities

I'd go for Forster but we can't afford him.

He is slow off his line and his kicking is dreadful but he has every attribute to be a top keeper and is already producing accomplished displays despite his tender years. It will be an entire decade before he even reaches his peak.

I loved Boruc when he was here as well but he sat and picked up tens of thousands of our money whilst acting entirely unprofessional, not looking after himself and drinking heavily. All of which confirmed to us by him about a fortnight after he left.

    Onwards and upwards.

Boruc won't return. I'd go for Given out of those four.

He's 22, his clean sheet record the past 2 seasons has been incredible and for all he has a couple of faults he has the potential to be international class in a short space of time.

I reckon Newcastle would want something ridiculous like 6 million +

i would rather have Schmeichel over Forster any day of the week. he would probably be cheaper (if Leeds don't get promoted).

Forster is English at an English club so his price will be at least double what we seem to be a fair price. i think he is worth about £2m max, but i can see Newcastle holding out for around the £5m mark.

I don't mind Forster, but it's very unlikely he'll stay, as I don't think Newcastle are eager to sell anyway.

I don't want Given at all, he turns 35 next months and yes, the keepers can play longer, but he's had shoulder injuries for a while now, so it would be a risk and he was never really known to be a good organiser at the back, relying mainly on his reflexes, well those won't be around forever.
