I dont think it would be the end of us, once we had finally separated from that scum i think we would be welcomed into another league of some sort.

Rangers would collapse because no old firm money, sky wouldnt want anything to do with the league anymore, there would no longer be a thrive for their fans, an most of them only support them to hate us, their fans of late are terrible and without us they would disappear even more. My opinion of course but rangers would be finished in my view and i reckon we would continue onwards and upwards

If Lennon left this summer, then i'd say theres a 99.9% chance all our war on the streets of Glasgow would break out and huns players and management would be getting attacked on a daily basis, then the huns would start to attack ours and the League would probably need to be shut down.

I honestly think that would happen.

It would end up probably the end of Scottish football becaus eit would need to be banned for safety reasons. Bigots wont be allowed to win though and Lennon will be going nowhere.

So basically Lenny has 2 options:

    1. Stay on and have his family subject to death threats including bombs sent in the post.
    2. Leave and see riots on the streets and injuries to fans occur in his defence.

What a * * situation to be in. He's a hero to go through this for a football club, but it's sickening that he has to.

Even at this moment, I think the club should be considering its position - we just CANNOT continue being attacked and accused by the media, public, etc, and turn a blind eye to it.

Bigotry in Scotland is what Alex Salmond and his over-paid liars should be addressing properly and taking effective, and direct action, like closing Hunsville once and for all.

I would not blame Lennon for walking away - his safety, and that of this family is paramount. As everyone says, NO-ONE would be prepared to take the job, nor should it be offered.

A decision to leave the SPL now, would be most effective and successful.

the board will be saying nothing until the cup final (at least) is out of the way

we will be encouraged to say all the right things to diffuse a situation which we really can do nothing about

do you know what will diffuse this - we need to lose!

so it all schtum just now and then I think we will let fly at the end of the season and point the finger at the authorites and the club whose supporters go unchecked in this country in their illegal racist sectarian hatred.

so they can stick us losing up their jacksies! thats the truth in this and it paints them in an even worse picture than before, but do the key bangers in the press rooms write it?

Nonsense. There's no way I'd put my life on the line for football, and I'm sure most would agree with me here. Sure, there'd be fights and disturbances but 'all out war' is far, far too far.

I don't think it would be.

If Lennon had to leave because of all the huns * then there would be many tims out there waiting to dish the same and worse out to the huns players and management. There would be attacks on a daily basis. This is Glasgow, there is many a fruitcake out there who will take matters into their own hands and if/when they do the huns fans will retaliate to ours too and it would be game over. I've no doubt that would happen.

All of this is not good.

I was in a pub not a million miles away from CP before the game and got talking to some guys from Northern Ireland. They say tensions there are high because of all this and I think this is a bit much. For f**** sake they are talking about civil war!:54:

    NOT WORTH IT!

Im sure everyone knew that Republican Paramilitaries would not take threats to Lennon lightly and this apparently seems to be the case. There has always been one thing that has embarrassed me. This stupid song we {not me personally] sing about Lennon. "like me and you, he's a Provo too" He could do himself and Celtic FC a big favour by asking the entire support never to sing it again as, I would like to think he's embarrassed by it too.

Most of the people who sing this would * themselves at the sight of a gun, let alone know what to do with it.

There would be no way back.

Infact i'd predict by the end of the week of Lennon resigning(hypothetically) the SPL start for next season would be postponed. As in the days after it McCoist, Durrant, McDowall, Lafferty, Weir, Bougherra, any one of them would be attacked their motors would be attacked their houses would be attacked, then Rangers fans would do the same to all our players and this would happen every day - they would all end up under police protection. The media would be full of it all and the League would be postponed and there would be no way of starting it again as it would never end. Everything could be * because of these daft huns who cant see its just a game and they're taking it too far.

I hope none of our 'fans' would react in such a manner.. I honestly don't believe Rangers FC would endorse such a fan base despite the silence from them on this issue.

I also think a few games off the sideline and a media sojourn for our Neil will be good for him.... keep him out of public eye for a bit and let him get on with the job of just managing a team and not having to worry how his every statement or reaction is handled by a anti-social few who bring shame to the Rangers (yes, I know how odd that last statement may seem)

Don't kid yourself, Murray has in the past refused to condemn the sectarian chanting by the Rangers fans, I think it was on Panorama. Rangers are bigots to the core, their silence has been deafening on the issue already, and I don't anticipate that changing, no matter what happens.

And if the worst case scenario were to occur, and Neil is forced out by the bigots, I would expect Celtic to tender their resignation from the SPL with immediate effect and look for a new league, be that in England (which would be easier without Rangers I think), Ireland who I'm sure would be happy to have us or somewhere else.
