I think that the people who made this threat have crossed a line. If Lenny quits what makes the next manager any safer? It's terrorism and the authorities in this country have to act. It's been said that M16 and Special Branch have to sift through all Celtics mail

I think Rangers have a responsibility too, if they were proactive and took their own measures to act against their fans that run these campaigns it would send out a clear message that this sort of behaviour won't be tolerated.

Who you support shouldn't matter here as you have said we have crossed a line.

I'm not saying the threats come from the Rangers fans who run these hate pages and campaigns but they certainly don't help the issue and suck a lot of naive idiots in who know no better and will do something stupid as they buy into the bullshit.

Suggest to leave is a polite way of sacking... it would not be his choice. Either way whether it be his choice or on the boards suggestion should he leave, it will be down to the threats that has pushed him out the door.

I wish I had your confindence he will not walk through all of this.. He walked from NI so he could do it from Celtic. It will be difficult for his as he is now playing with his young families lives

It'll be a sad day if Neil Lennon is made to walk because of some mindless bigots, the man is just doing what he loves and some are trying to spoil it for him.

He is currently guarded 24 hrs a day its not good , he is a football manager not the PM (although he would probably do a better job)
This has got to be stopped and nipped in the Bud , the police probably know who is behind all this but wont do anything about it ..The press wont report it , its way off their spectrum ..
We need to lobby The Local MPs make them aware of whats happening in their constituency ...These People can NEVER win at any cost ..They are scum of the Highest order

Sadly i can see lennon leaving at the end of the season,he might not be scared of these people but he has a family to think of and they are sure to put some pressure on him to quit and move away.
The other thing lennon could do is change his ways a little, keep the shouting and hotheadedness behind closed doors.
Yes i know its part of whats made the team a winning side but seeing him act like that on the touchlines just makes these PEEOPLE mad and send him * in the post and give him * when he is out and about.
Its just a rather sad day all round.:38:

just found this on twitter from a guy who works for the mirror and is a celtic fan McNallyMirror Brian McNally
A reliable #Celtic source tells me Neil Lennon has had enough of the constant death threats & security upheavals. Dont blame him if he quits
if this happens the board should refuse to play rangers and take some action against there club in the courts a no we cant say they are all the same but no 1 seems to care that a terrorist group are making threats against his and his families lives and rangers dont seem to be condemning there fans actions or doing anything to try and stamp out the scum in there club

I hate these cowards. Hide away and make threats but would never have the guts to say anything one on one to his face. If he does leave then the scum have won but as previous posts have said, Let's get behind Lenny for the treble so if he does go he has a victory over them.

No, suggest to leave is just that. The Celtic board are aware of his fantastic record as manager so far, so they obviously will not want him to leave, unless something miraculous happens between now and the end of the season and we start losing games (* forbid).

My point was if the board feel that there is a legitimate threat to the life of Neil or his family, they will approach him over it and see what he wants to do from there. They will not push him out the door, no chance in *.

He may have walked from NI, but the point remains that he never quit Celtic from 2000-2007. The Huns hated him from the minute he walked through the door at Parkhead, yet he stood his ground for seven years as a player and has now returned for Round 2 as manager.

I hope Neil is just letting things cool off just now and NOT the talk of him leaving Celtic all because a bunch of "Faceless COWARDS" - This is what they want.

Not wishing to score points here but - Anytime there is serious trouble its always That lot who cant take it...and now we have death threats etc etc - It Just sums them up for what they are !!!

It is disgusting that the rangers hierarchy have not issued a condemnation of this disgraceful campaign that is being orchestrated on Neil Lennon and his family. Bain & Smith are happy to spout trivia * about what they see as the problem, that being the sewer rat is getting rough treatment in terms of vocal abuse.
I suppose that they must see that as being much more serious than death threats being conducted against a man and his family.
Of course they ignore the fact that they brought this creature to Scotland in the full knowledge of the reception he would get at every ground he pollutes.

these comments coming out that lenny is thinking of standing down will only encourage them * to keep it up as they think they are winning the total silence from the huns is nothing but shamefull but i expect nothing else if this continues i do agree with some sort of protest of some sort

Where's the condemnation from R*ngers Football Club ?

Where's the condemnation from the media ?

Where's the condemnation from the Government who were sticking the boot in the other day ?

    Where's the condemnation from Strathclyde's finest ?

Where's the condemnation from the SFA ?

Where's the condemnation from the SPL ?

Where's the condemnation from the League Manager's Association ?

The whole thing is an absolute disgrace and paints this country in a terrible light, in fact it tells the true story of this sectarian shitehole.
