Difference is, we absolutely 100% know that Santa and the easter bunny don't exist... whereas there is no proof that * doesn't exist, so for that reason, people have the right to believe if they want.

what happens to childen who die and were too young to accept jesus as their saviour... do they go to *?

    Whatever.

I know what I believe in and I'm comfortable with it. Nothing a bunch of * religious sceptics say on a football forum is going to be enough to make me believe * does not exist.

    I'm out.

No, it's a party game where you bend over backwards to walk under a stick that's suspended at a certain height. :50:

Seriously though, it's just supposed to be an empty space that isn't really anything where souls go. They're not getting into heaven, but also not going to *.

It's a lot of nonsense though.

Ah so heres another one of the Zeitgeist followers. I think you should research a bit more in to something you watch or listen to before you automatically presume that its outright fact. These similarities between Horus and Jesus have been debated many times and i think its fair to conclude that many of the so called traits that the mythological character Horus had with Jesus are mostly fabricated lies. In fact the main scholar that initially produced these presumptions was a man named Gerald Massey in the late 19th, early 20th century and its been concluded that he fabricated many of the so called traits between Horus and Jesus. Take a read at this website and in your time go on to other websites that talk about the Horus Jesus debate before jumping to firm conclusions.. http://www.kingdavid8.com/Copycat/JesusHorus.html

After much debating with myself and researching various materials and religions, I have found it within myself to say yes there is a *. While I am sceptical and dubious over the Catholic Church and the many scandals and horrific abuses they have committed and also the many teachings they proclaim which if i may so, i disagree with many, i do still practise the Catholic religion because while as i have said i have my disagreements with the church and the institutions in the church itself i do still believe in * and i believe it is the * the Catholic Church teach.

I believe it is the ethics that Jesus preached and taught through his ministry and life and which are proclaimed in the Gospel narratives are what is most important to ones faith. If we lead a life of true value and virtue and respect everyone regardless of who they are and help anyone in need regardless of who they are is what living a good life is all about and living a life which * wants us to live. While I respect ones opinion on not believing in * and i see where many of them come from in not believing in *, i myself have a strong faith and i will always be proud of that faith.

Are you aware of what you're admitting here?..

If you feel so strongly about your faith, to the point where you'll defend it on a forum atleast, then why not attempt to refute anything that's been said?

Noones asking you to believe anything that they say, I'd have thought common sense would dictate that you actualy consider what's being said with an open and critical mind. How else do you come to conclusions in life and make sense of things?

Belief doesn't require things to be explained out, it's beyong layman terms. Who are we to know Gods will really?

I don't believe in * or religion but the general concept is that he is a higher, all knowing being. Hence the fact that to a all knowing being your arguments don't count ever.

So, debate with that fact and stop trying to be a * to MarkyBhoy99

"Are these similarities between Christianity and Ancient Egyptian mythology true?"

Maybe read the full thing before being so * cheeky?

I've seen that site before and plenty of counter arguments to it.I'm inclined to beleive that the teachings of Christianity are fabricated and packed with lies.More so than any theories about the similarities between Egyptian mythology and Christianity anyway.
